His eyes widen as Sam declares his employment but it seems to fade quickly into more of twinkle, like a bad scene in a Disney movie.

"You were held in the base by the river...and got yourselves out?!  Now that is information that people will pay for!  How did you do it?  Moreover, this is the first I'm hearing of anyone getting out and I have spotters sitting around that place 24-7.  No alarms, no deployments, seems rather odd for escapees from that place."

"It was an army base, but those usually have medically facilities. They were claiming 'quarantine protocols' but this was no public health exercise. I've been involved in those before."

He turned his glance to their host.

"We took advantage of a situation," he said, not mentioning that he'd caused it in the first place, "And snuck out through a stairwell into subterranean tunnels that led out under the city."

"You...you three...went through the tunnels?!  You are either the most skilled fighters in the world, or the luckiest fools to ever grace the planet!  Only a handful of people have ever survived down there and they're all born and raised here.  Your credit rating has definitely gone up."

"Hospital my ass!  That place is a prison, a land of no return.  They keep claiming this quarantine garbage but most people don't buy it, not anymore.  When they closed the bridges and throttled all internet and cell lines, we knew something wasn't right.  Hell, nothing has been right since that explosion.  You ask me, it's one of those red herring things...false flags, that's what I was looking for.  You know, where the military stages some public display to gain their support?  Not sure what the hell they want with Albany though."

He sat silent for some time, clearly lost in deep thought.  His hands folded in front of him, his head resting upon them, he eyes the three of you continuously as he ponders what you have said.

"As I said, getting out is a difficult matter.  Downright suicidal if you ask me but that is your decision.  You came to me with a request for assistance, not a guarantee.  Now I pose a question to you.  I am a man of business...so what can you offer me in return?  Guns?  I can supply them.  Men?  I have those as well.  A plan?  Perhaps..but what do you have?"

"All the major roads and paths out of town are blocked.  There's a patrol that routinely circles the city as well.  They also watch the river...but they can't watch the whole thing.  I have a boat hidden away just on the outside of the city.  Get me what I want and I'll see to it that you make it to that boat."

OOC: While this is NY, it is upstate NY so it's pretty easy to get a hold of most normal firearms such as you requested.  There is no shortage of pistols & revolvers as well as shotguns (mostly standard Mossberg sportsman-style and the like).  There are a few semi-auto rifles, though nothing of high caliber, and even a few actual hunting rifles; bolt action yes but rather large rounds.  Just let me know what you're carrying.  If that's all you need, just let me know and we'll get rolling once more.

Shotgun, hunting rifle and a handgun. Nothing special... perhaps a few bear bangers. They can come in handy, especially if you're somewhere that carrying a firearm is problematic.
