Chapter 1 look in the sky...
Alon stares in shock and horror as the bartender is talking. He shakily puts his pipe away and begins eating the stew set before him, thinking about what the bartender said. (Rolled 12 knowledge arcana when he said some wizards volunteer to become something else and are targeted by the devils. What are they becoming and why are they targeted?)

After a few minutes, Alon looks to his new friends. Eyes wide, he nervously asks,"W-Why would devils be targeting wizards? Have we finally poked our noses in something that should have been left alone? This seems very troubling. And how could they do that to poor Gordon's wife?? That's monstrous. I saw flashes of despair as he was talking to us, but I never would have guessed something like that had happened to him..."

Chapter 1 look in the sky...
In reply to Alon Zee (msg # 69):

"Not to be callous, but there are sad stories everywhere. I know I've seen my fair share. You just have to make sure that you do everything in your power to so that you don't get a sad story of your own. Now I don't know much about the living dead, but that is the part of the story that concerns me. Every soldier that falls becomes an enemy and enemies can rise again. Sounds like an uphill fight."

At this Felix begins to stair into the distance lost in thought.

"How do you beat an army that can't fear death?"

Chapter 1 look in the sky...
In reply to Felix Prince (msg # 70):

Alon's eyes light up at the thought of being set tons task of figuring out a solution to a problem and he momentarily forgets his distress of being targeted by demons.

"Excellent question Felix! Now, if we take what we've already learned and add a little deductive reasoning with a good bit of luck, we may be able to arrive at a solution. Let's see... the bartender said lord of the dead can't bring you back to fight again'. I wonder if we can convince the lord of the dead Rosario creating endless waves of resurrected monstrosities?"

"I doubt that anyone here will be too convinced by words.", Gunnmarr says to alon.

"If something gets back up after being killed, destroy that which is controlling it.", Gunnmarr get's a far away look on his face as he remember's something.

Chapter 1 look in the sky...
In reply to Gunnmarr Egdricsson (msg # 72):

Alon looks at Gunnmarr slightly confused. "Well, that was essentially my plan, minus the destroying. I'm not too familiar with demigods or lords of death, but I would imagine he won't be too easy to destroy. But maybe if we can gain his favor, he'll grant us a boon. Ergo, stop raising people for the dead!" Alon says triumphantly, as if he just solved all the world's problems.

Chapter 1 look in the sky...
Looking at the little gnome, giving a mock bow and says "oh master gnome, and how do you Pray tell we win over the favor of a Lord of the Dead?  Maybe offer him a meal at our table, or parley with him over a tall glass of mead. Or maybe we beat him at a game of chess!"

Letting out a gruff breath

"No only one way to stop something of that evil, and that is destruction of the source, but i am sure he would be guarded....I do not trust this man Gordon, but if the bartender is to be believed, maybe we should take him up on his offer and see what he knows."

Chapter 1 look in the sky...
In reply to Enigma The Tempest Redwood (msg # 74):

"Oh you don't have to bow to me Enigma! We're all friends here. And I don't believe we should offer him a meal at our table...I'm not sure demigods eat the same thing we do. And as for the mead, it's hard to turn down a good cup. But you may be onto something with the chess bit! I'm fairly certain I can beat him at chess! It is a game of logic after all. You're awfully quick to jump on the murder wagon for someone who claimed earlier they would rather avoid confrontation. And who said the lord of the dead is evil? He's just doing what he was created to do. No more, no less just like the rest of us."

Chapter 1 look in the sky...
Placing his first finger and his thumb on the bridge of his nose , he closes his eyes and slightly shakes his head letting out a soft sigh.

"Alon, There is almost certainly no way we can reason with a Lord of the Dead, and I was jesting when I stated the game of chess.  These Creatures Are well evil by nature, What matter of Creature would raise the dead back again to fight the living?"

Chapter 1 look in the sky...
In reply to Enigma The Tempest Redwood (msg # 76):

"Now just because something is considered 'evil 'by the imposed social norms, does not mean that it cannot be reasoned with. That is ridiculous. Everyone wants something. Now I am sure that you may feel that this Lord of the Dead is raising dead just for the sake of raising dead so that he can be a nuisance to the living. That may be true, but Mr. Zee here may be onto something in his thinking that this matter may not be as clear cut as it seems. If the Lord of the Dead does want something in this land, and they perceive it to be easier to start a undead war than to negotiate, then it would not be impossible to propose that there is a misunderstanding somewhere in the middle of all this. If we can find what this Lord of the Dead wants than we may be able to A) give it to them in the hopes that they leave, B) lie and say we will give it to them in order to gain the upper hand, or at the very least C) use the information of what they want as an opportunity to open a dialog."

Chapter 1 look in the sky...
Alon nods as Felix is talking. When he is finished, Alon points a short stubby finger at him. "That is exactly right my friend. We need to learn more about the situation before we make any rash decisions. I am in favor of opening dialog. But of course I will not back down from a fight if it comes to it."

Alon looks at Gunnmarr and says,"Gunny, we can't just kill him. Well, we could. Buy what if someone else is pulling the strings? What if killing him exacerbates the problem? There are too many variables that were not aware of to take such drastic measures... I believe we need to talk to this Falisha person, but the bartender said she doesn't come here very often. We will have to go to her!"

In reply to Alon Zee (msg # 79):

"Gunny, I am not opposed to trying to kill our way to the top. Mr. Zee is right though we will need to as much information about the situation as possible before we move. It is just like hunting a new prey for the first time. The first step is to watch and learn. Before you do this you will never be an effective hunter."

Chapter 1 look in the sky...
Alon stands up excitedly on the stool he was sitting on. "Good, so it's settled!" He exclaims. "We'll find this Falisha woman and see what she can tell us. Then we'll track down this lord of the dead and parley with him! Oh the thrill of discovery! You, bartender! BARTENDER! We don't have time to wait for Falisha to come here, so if you would be so good as to tell us where we may find her, it would be much appreciated!"

Chapter 1 look in the sky...
(Hey guys sorry i haven't posted in a few days. Super busy at work. Daniel I posted your roll results. I really like the chemistry your characters have formed with eachother.)

No one seems to have payed any attention to your conversation. The bartender has looked your way a few times to make sure you haven't needed anything but mostly helped others.

Enigma the man you spotted earlier that seemed out of place given his demeanor has moved to the bar. He seems to be staring blankly forward.

Pondering the situation, Alon tells his friends,"I have a few ideas on what is going on here. But I would like to talk to this Falisha woman before worrying anyone."

Frustrated that the bartender didn't hear him yelling, Alon tries yelling again and waving his arms.

"BARTENDER!! WHERE CAN WE FIND FALISHA?!"
