Not JUST an ass man but a shining towards the juicy plumper variety I see.

You are not quite as far south as you think you went. I should have given you a season and some idea of distance. I have been trying to upload a main map, I'll try again. I will move the weather quickly to spring through narrative, no worries. Also, as I'm stuck with only my phone this weeken (up north) I may not be as worst as I would like.

I feel like I am going to like Viktor. The kind of PC I would run. Bravo on the setup of all the stories though!

I wasn't actually sure how the wolves were reacting to noticing the party in the cave from the description so I just guessed and ran with it.

REALLY didn't want to kill some dogs so hopefully Moira can have a moment and show off her unusual attunement to nature (from her fey parentage) that I'm trying to cultivate.

OOC: for when you are done dealing with the current situation and the torn up Moira, there is a fissure at the west end of the room. At a glance there will for sure be some climbing down  involved, a quick look maybe 30+ feet.. There is also heading north along the path by the stream further into the cave.. Either way without some sort of dark-vision, light would be very helpful going further, damn humans.

Yeah, it's like humans are the only species on the planet that actually need light to see by.

OOC: I'm having trouble with thematicly explaining why a ready action doesn't carry from one round to the other but makes some sense right? Otherwise you could end up with two actions in the same turn. i may do some internet research on this. I don't want to be wrong and mess things up.

But that's just the thing. You can hold it until the start of your next turn, right? This is the start of a new ROUND. My understanding is that delay is just there to give you some tactical flexibility and get around the weirdness of everything being turn based. Yes, you can end up acting twince in the same round but it's only because you didn't act at all in the last one. It's not like you're getting more actions.

In the future, would it be possible to use the grid for fights? Looking at the map, if we used the grid that last fight would have been a 1 on 1 fight at the door (1 RB opens the door and has to fight Viktor in front of him) which is MUCH more favorable to me. These guys have really high damage output so I need to be able to bottle neck them whenever possible or use positioning to keep them away from my squishy characters like Moira and Gunther. Maybe not for every fight (particularly in open areas) but in cramped dungeons it would be great.

Please? Pretty Please?

Just be careful. If you spread yourself too thin, this site can become a real chore. I've made that mistake in the past. I'm sticking to just our two games and my Warhammer game.

I still browse the player wanted ads though from time to time and have been tempted to join some Call of Cthulhu games. I stumbled across another game running this same adventure. I clicked on their game and it's all of the things I hate about D&D. Their party is a half-man/half-bird monk, a half-man/half-dragon fighter, and a half man-half demon gunslinger. Yeesh! Everybody wants to be their own crazy unique little snowflake. Weird is not a replacement for interesting!

Two more cloaks, though a bit bloody can be used. Viktors finds nothing in the pile of clothes but can count appropriately 12 sets. Either there are more captives or.......

You have the three free, you could attempt to arm them? I bet a horrified widow and two traumatized teens would be perfect soldiers.

I prefer to think of them as temporary hit points with the odd side effect of screaming when you lose them.

Actually, 3 people to stand around and perform the 'help' action in combat every round wouldn't be half bad...

No, no. Mission accomplished. We're going to get the hell out of Dodge.

Casting from a scroll: if the spell appears on your class's spell list, and is of a level that you could normaly cast. You cast the spell successfully. Otherwise you must make an Int-check (Arcana) to se if you can cast it. DC is 10 plus the spells level. If you fail, the scrolls crumples to dust essentially.

Health potions: 2d4+2 hp back

Invisibility potion: When you drink this potion, you-along with the clothing, armor, weapons, and other equipment on your person- become invisible for 1 hour. The invisibility ends if you attack or cast a spell.
