Mission 2: Eclipsing the Black Sun

As everyone checks the area to see that it is secure Off Ramp contacts the plane. The captain replies to his query; "Nothing from our end at this point. Just make your way to the Sedlec Ossuary as quickly and quietly as you are able. Remember, this is occupied territory you are going into. Best of luck!" The search of the area turn up nothing other than local wildlife; Off Ramp got the team to an uninhabited section of the Carpathian Mountains. So for the moment at least everyone is able to take it easy while Off Ramp looks to scry a good location in Czechoslovakia to gate to that will bring them close to the ossuary.

OOC: So Off Ramp needs to make another Remote Sensing roll vs. a difficulty of 15 (Daunting) due to trying to find a specific, safe location in a nearby country.

Mission 2: Eclipsing the Black Sun

Jake sometimes forgot how vast the world was outside of the cities. Even in the small forest just outside his home town, he wasn't likely to run into anyone except during hunting season.

The Germans might have occupied this part of the country, but that only meant the inhabited parts, with maybe an occasional patrol into the countryside. But what was the point if there was nothing there?

They could have spotted the plane. None of them had thought to conceal it... assuming any of them could have. But they wouldn't have seen any parachutes.

As they moved closer to civilization, though, that would change. Roads in particular would be patrolled or at least in use.

He waited to see what Off Ramp found.

Dr. Jetsetter:
"Well, I'll be jiggered," Dr. Jetsetter looked around. "That actually worked."

"Of course it did. Geeze, its like you people have never stepped instantly through time and space." Off Ramp chuckled. "I'm kidding. Everybody is freaked out the first time...especially me." He created another viewing portal to find what he is looking for.

OOC: Just made it...
11:45, Today: Off Ramp rolled 15 using 5d6 with rolls of 2,6,3,1,3.  Scrying portal.

Mission 2: Eclipsing the Black Sun

Nocturne had another thought as Off Ramp created a new portal.

"Is this portal visible from the other side?" he asked Off Ramp.

"Is it a two-way portal? If you suddenly open the portal on an artillery range, for instance, can the shells come through from that side?"

He sort of hated to keep asking questions, but as the new guy, he didn't know the answers to these things. As his mama used to say, 'Not to ask is not to receive.'

In reply to Nocturne (msg # 4):

"Only if I want it to. Otherwise the portal is not Detectable by human senses. "
He said.
