A very ecumenical and diverse ceremony for those involved.

The perspective of the room, now that you all have had time to reflect, makes it feel really narrow.

Given time now to take stock, what does the party wish to do?

Unless someone says otherwise, let's move down the passage to the right of the dot.  I've really got not preference either way, but it seems as good a direction as any.

"Give us a minute, why don' ya?" Weasel said, turning to look over his shoulder at the surly dwarf. Turning back to the dead goblin, he roots about a bit more before standing with a smirk.

"Well, well, lookee here," he crows, holding up a small belt pouch. Opening it, he lets out a low whistle.

'Well?" comes the gruff yet inquisitive question demanding an answer.

After dispensing Cuthbert's curing on Uthecar, Kullonar waits for Weasel to reveal the secrets of the pouch before following Uthecar in further exploration.

The exchange between Uthecar and Weasel gets Bruno's attention, but he does not speak. Rather he waits patiently for the young human to have his fun.

"What did you find Weasel?"

Zan tended to his wounds and rested up to regain spells

Weasel turns a narrow eye toward Myrrick, than his gaze circles back around to the dwarves.

"You lot know the stones better'n me, I'm guessing. Care to take a gander inside the pouch to determine how much they're worth?"

He passes the pouch to Bruno for his opinion.

ooc: anyone who would like to guess the value of the pouch's contents roll percentile. We'll let the dice determine what you think they're worth.

Uthecar can't help himself looking over Bruno's shoulder.  "They're worth a lot." he says peering into the pouch.

Bruno takes the bag and carefully pours some of the stones into his palm, "Well, I'm no jeweler, but..."

So, Bruno thinks somewhere between 10-25 GP apiece

Bruknar thinks somewhere between 25-50 GP apiece

and

Uthecar thinks somewhere between 100-125 GP apiece

As the three dwarves discuss things, there's a strange sense of friction as each swears up and down that they're right.

Weasel said, "I'm pretty certain that 125gp is about the top of value - still that ain't bad. I'll hold 'em for now, and will break 'em out when we have time to count our loot. Right Myrrick?"

Bruknar snarls a curse, and turns to inspect the shelves. Apparently he's put off by the fact that a human discovered a treasure and he did not. Still, it is with some surprise and a bit of luck that he finds mid wall, somewhat obscured by the stuff on the shelves, a lever of sorts.

"What have we here?" he asks aloud, a grin spreading across his face.

Kullonar watches Bruknar and is not really surprised of his find. He is cautious, however, and says so.
"Careful, friend dwarf. That could be a trap."

The half-orc priest takes a few steps back, wary of what might happen.

As the arguing settled down at last, Weasel said, "Lookit here, I'm not good fer much, but I can tell the difference between a fine, semi-precious and precious rock. There are twelve here, each is worth about 125 gold, and we'll square 'em up fair when we get somewhat closer to civilization. In the meantime, I found 'em, so I am happy to keep them. And yes, there is honor among thieves...this thief anyway. So unless yer all dead, I'll be sure to cut in each surviving member of the party their fair share. Savvy?"

Brukar glances at Weasel with a nod before continuing his inspection of the lever.

Kullonar gives a nod to the rogue and then watches intently, waiting on Bruknar to pull the lever.
"Why not give it a go and see what happens?" he offers.

"Hm, why don' you just go ahead and pull the damn lever, yer so smart..."

The wide grin belies the gruff challenge however and the newest member of the party gives the lever a tug.

"Cor," he muttered after a moment of tugging. "Methinks the bloody things stuck."

Uthecar will wander over to see if he can force the lever down.

Zan looked at Weasel, "How many gems? Just checking to be sure"

"Twelve," Weasel replied and there seems no subterfuge in the young man's gaze.
