Re: OOC2: Where the Fallen Jarls Sleep.
Unfortunately we have earthquakes all the time, like all the time, but most of them are insignificant. A lot of us have the NZ Geonet earthquake app on our phones. Mostly because if it reads as a 6 the office workers get to go home for the day. Last earthquake 38 minutes ago but only 3.9, and the one before that 48 minutes ago but again only 3.1. In the last week 39 earthquake but only one reaching 4. Last week we had a 7.4, but it was 33km deep so only a light shake on the surface. I miss most of them, but my wife in an office tower feels the building sway and sees the lights swing where they have hanging lights.
When we go to public events, whilst the fire exits are pointed out, it's the earthquake procedure that is talked about first. At home we have an emergency spare water tank, and have an emergency grab and run kit ready to go. I'm actually currently toying with the idea of putting in a second 5,000 litre spare tank currently.
