Re: Tears of Sorrow and Laughter

ooc: I'm so proud of you, Ulrich. I think I have tears in my eyes...

Who is doing the opening of the doors? Give me a marching order, please. Then go ahead with your actions.

Dugger has no problem with opening the doors.

Check the door, check for traps, listen at the door, check to see if it is locked, open it slowly

Re: Tears of Sorrow and Laughter

Dugger does what he do's best, which is slink around. Entering a utilitarian chamber, Dugger notes an unmade bed, an empty plate and utensils. On a desk nearby sits a tankard, along with a small brazier that smells of incense. The room is circular and a bit smokey.

Hard to say. The big clues are the brazier and the incense, but a look around doesn't give you much to go on.

What's the rest of the party doing?

Kullonar doesn't go into the room. He stands out by the door keeping guard, looking left and right.

Bruno follows Duggar and Ulrich into the room offering his lantern to Kullonar, if the half-orc wants it, so they will have light in the hallway as well.

Whether or not he still has his lantern he stands ready, "The Undead are not known for their sense of smell or need for incense..."

Re: Tears of Sorrow and Laughter

Right now I have Dugger, Ulrich, Bruno, and Selene in the room

Myrrick, Gildan, Kullonar and Gregors are outside the room.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Suddenly the door slams shut, trapping Bruno's group inside. That group hears shouts that indicate melee has commenced.

Kullonar's group, Please roll initiative and your first attack/damage rolls.

Game on!

BBLG: 40%
12:50, Today: Bruno Rhunthane rolled 39 using 1d100.  BBLG.

Well, assuming it's not magical, etc... maybe it worked! ;)

Re: Tears of Sorrow and Laughter

So close...something, something...horseshoes and hand grenades.

As the combatants gird themselvess for battle, the first group looks around. A small chest sits in a dark corner, heretofore unseen by the party as it is partially hidden by the shadows beneath the bed. Actions?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gregor and Gildan have initiative. Unbelievably, both of Gildans arrows fly astray. (Wow!).

Myrrick misses, almost a fumble. Gregors nearly stumbles and misses. Gildan missed 2x with his bow, astounding every one there. Kullonar looks around desperatly trying to find a foe!

Suddenly, what seems an emaciated dwarf comes int clear view and offers two mighty swings at Cuthbert's scion. Two hits with a massive battle axe certainly causes Kullonar to take stock.

Kullonar takes 12 points of damage from two hits. Now it is Kullonar's turn...

Kullonar fights in silence for the most part, with an occasional grunt as he swings his morningstar. He also looks around for Gregors...

Re: Tears of Sorrow and Laughter

Of the four of you, three find success. Gildan's bow is so smooth and hits 2x, Myrrick swings once, finds an opening in the grey fellow's armor.
Gregor's seems a bit out of practice. And Kullonar engages with the gray fellow again. There's a mad light in the dwarf's eyes.

Kullonar takes 8 more points of damage from grey dwarf.

Kullonar's turn I believe?
