I think Aldara was just waiting on the go ahead that she'd had time to review her spells before attempting the hobgoblin.

If we give the Hobgoblin prisoner some tea and cookies,he might tell us what we want to know. :)

Re: OOC: Table Talk 2

If the charm person does not work,a red hot dagger blade, applied to the right spot can do wonders for loosening a tongue. However, I am not sure how the goods in the group would feel about that.

Taerix would not oppose to the threat of a red hot blade, but using it would cross the line.

Hopefully the charm works, and we won't have to go there.

Yes, Aldara and Valthur are in charge of the interrogation.  Don't wait for input from anyone not in the room, or Sarah unless she starts glaring at Aldara, too.

Re: OOC: Table Talk 2

I think Aldara is just building some suspense!

While we have this break, remember that time when Valthur was knocked unconscious by a bunch of zombie kobolds? I looked back and found that I was unconscious for almost an entire month in RL (Oct 31 - Nov 30). My wife kept making fun of me because I kept checking in only to find I was still unconscious. To this day, she refers to this game as "the one where you were unconscious for two months"!

Ahhhh, fun times.

Re: OOC: Table Talk 2

I think we should pat ourselves on the back. This game has been going over over a year, and with the original players..well mostly. Only one has fallen to attrition. Not bad folks, not bad at all.

I hope we can rp this out to the end.

In reply to Valthur Ironhelm (msg # 90):

That's funny stuff. Though probably not as amusing to you at the time. I do remember you being a good sport about it and roleplaying your unconsciousness pretty well.

Re: OOC: Table Talk 2

Yeah. I am waiting for Aldara's question(s), since she is the only party member the hobgoblin is friendly toward (and likely to answer questions from) at the moment.

Hopefully she will ask a list of questions so we don't unnecessarily drag out the interrogation of a lone hobgoblin and have this turn into "that game where you watched a one-minute conversation for two months" :)

So, do we set up another ambush, or have a go at the ruined keep?

Re: OOC: Table Talk 2

Myself, I'm voting for cutting these curs off before they can do anything to the people they're planning on raiding.  We could sow misinformation or dissension, too.  Let the charmed hobgoblin go to deliver some sort of false message, and hope it works?  Something to get them to waste resources might be a good idea.

Aldara, keep posting in character.  Other players can jump in when they see the opportunity.  Don't wait on us.

Re: OOC: Table Talk 2

Marklin is good with whatever, as long as they are doing something. But as a player, I think we need to set another ambush, in the hopes we grab an officer type. Grunts are of limited value,as evidenced by our prisoner.

In reply to Marklin (msg # 100):

Hopefully, this suggestion will be heeded, the leadership is incompetent enough to believe Aldara's B.S. "vision"...and we can give the people of River-town a little more time.
If any of you say "yeah, and pigs can fly", you might be in for a surprise when Aldara decides to learn fly and we chance upon a farm with pigs.

I am always one to appreciate a good deception op. It is worthy of the attempt. But we still need to decide what to do next, as the party. Sound off peeps,we are burning daylight. :)

Will the effect of the charm last long enough to have the desired . . . effect?
