The Call to Adventure!

Three years of peace have passed since the Battle of Brindol. The land and people still bear the scars of the war against the hobgoblin horde, but the ever-resilient denizens of Elsir Vale have quietly gone about the business of rebuilding their lives. Trade along the Dawn Way has resumed, new buildings have replaced those destroyed during the war, and for the most part, the people have enjoyed a much-needed peace.

However, despite all these signs of hope and prosperity, the people of the Vale still cast nervous glances to the west, to the Wyrmskull Mountains, for omens of Wyrmlord Azarr Kul’s return. For while it is true his host was defeated during the Battle of Brindol, he was not. Moreover, Wyrmlord Kul has likely not been idle. Given time, he will undoubtedly return to settle unfinished business.

For this reason, the Lords of Brindol detailed a company of soldiers on an expedition into the Wyrmskull Mountains to seek out and destroy the Red Hand—once, and for all.

That was three years ago. The company, presumed lost...

That is, until now.

A giant owl has emerged from the Wyrmsmoke Mountains to deliver an urgent missive to those who might respond to the call:

“We found the Red Hand’s lair, The Fane of Tiamat. Join us. Let’s finish this--once, and for all!”
