Is Ovo's grappled rope still hanging down?

Yes. It is still hanging down.

No PC has line of sight on Wyrmlord Kul while he is not standing next to the 30-foot balcony. He is presently hiding behind the dragon statue in the south alcove.

Vaxfar cannot see Kul and therefore cannot target him for missile fire or a spell.

Here is a visual (5 foot squares), showing even if Vaxfar were to walk to the extreme edge of the lower floor, he still could not see Kul.



Vaxfar could climb the rope and get to the balcony this round but cannot reach Kul for an attack.

Please tell me the dark lord Kul isn't thinking Neener Neener in that drawing!!

Purely for comedic effect and to get you good and mad to make him pay!

Sarah: Good point on the AC. Kul's AC is -1 for Good (lawful) characters and 0 for all others. Will update.

Hurray for neutrality. That little miscalculation just might have been the thing that did Wyrmlord Kul in! I knew which characters were Neutral--Kul didn't.

Great virtual rolling on that magic missile by the way, Vaxfar! Wow. I just needed one more round and I think the battle would have swung the other way (in the bad guy's favor)...oh well, I gave it my best try :)

I'm presuming from the description that there is no obvious way up.  I hope I read that right.

I think we found 13 potions in the treasure box, can we drink and run at our enchanced/hasted speed??

The healing potions were handed out and downed already.  Eoni has just the two left and stopping to drink them probably exposes them to another danger roll.  I expect that no matter how many times we avoid death, there are a finite number of rounds before our exit is entirely blocked.

I also believe the healing potions have already been distributed. I don't know how players have been tracking items, but if you have potions, you can certainly drink one while running.

No character has to run toward the exit by the way. You could try to hole up somewhere in the Fane hope for the best. To your characters though, it seems like the place will collapse on itself at any moment.

Wow! What a round!

Elam, Sarah, Grub, and Murph made it out. Eoni stopping to cast healing spells definitely saved Grubd and herself; however, Eoni made no progress toward the exit and is still one Saving Throw from the exit. She also has 1 hit point!!! Wow.

Ovo is with Eoni.

Eoni saw Vaxfar and Rogar fall into a chasm. She doesn't know their fates.

Do we continue running towards Tiamat door?

And do those who are "out" know that Eoni and Ovo are upright and running?

Probably not. Ovo was well in the rear, behind all party members. Eoni hung back to wait for stragglers.

Elam and Eoni have the same movement speed (fastest party members). All other PCs, except Ovo, moved at the same speed. Ovo was/is the slowest.

Based on my last game post...

Elam and Grub last saw Eoni on the stairs leading up to the 1st level. Sarah has not seen Eoni since they were fleeing from the behir's cavern. Ovo got left behind in the cavern and neither Elam, Sarah, or Grub has seen him in a while.

Alright...looks like Eoni failed her saving throw. Yikes. Fortunately, she drank a healing potion. Rolling damage now...

It's enough to make me momentarily consider following Avandra in real life.

Vaxfar: Please roll 5d20, choosing the 'Record Each Die' option. Reason for Roll: Death Save (Death Ray).

Per House Rules, Vaxfar still has a chance to survive! He needs to roll 3 successful Death Saves before rolling 3 unsuccessful saves. His target number is 10 or better.
