Just a heads up that I'm going to be moving 3000 miles away (from Northern California to upstate New York) over this next week, which means my computer is going in a box to be shipped tomorrow. Thanks largely to a big chunk of XP from the knowledge checks you guys have been nailing you are close to leveling up. I'll let you know when, but it should be right after you conclude the encounter in the crypt.

Apologies for my disappearance again, the pain meds they put me on ended up having an adverse reaction and I had to go back to the hospital. Turns out when you give a person 3 different types of pain meds, without checking what the other doctors prescribed him, you can almost kill a person.

Normally this wouldn't be a problem because I know what each of the prescriptions are and what they can and can't mix with. My spouse did not. So it's a good thing I have a high mass density for someone my weight and height.

Yikes man, hopefully you get feeling better soon. Definitely don't mix up your meds.

I've added info about the Spirit Planchette to the Items section in the Journal thread.

Additionally, you all have enough XP to level up to level 2. You can level yourselves up the next time you rest.

Do we roll hit points?

You can roll or take average.

UNless there are objections garland will take 1 potion of cure light wounds.

Alright Garlands levelup is done. I decided to take +1 hp instead of skill point this level due to his abysmal HP roll

I havnt decided yet but I may switch out a spell or 2 for more detect undeads spells

You can take advantage of the Retraining rules if you'd like, and if you're okay giving up your adventuring actions for the day. Perhaps not the best idea while there's a time crunch, but maybe later in the campaign.

Is anyone considering those nice shiny arrows?  If not, then Keanala wouldn't mind using them.

Garland has no use for arrows so go for it

If there is time in the day I would like to have another research day as theres a lot of other things Garland wants to look into. I think the most pressing is getting the list of prisoners and staff that died in the fire so we know who were dealing with

You still have most of the day left after clearing the haunted crypt, but if you plan to stay up late guarding the crypt you're in for a long night. You can chose to either take it easy on the research for a -2 on your Knowledge Check, or make a DC10 Fortitude save to avoid being fatigued the following day.

Ha Ha!  Been there.  Shall we split them up then?

I really am not seeing a good way to split 10 (+1) arrows, perhaps they will be better in the hands of a dedicated archer.

Perhaps a few of the MW arrows (17) were collected?

Kendra only managed to grab the scrolls and the one quiver from the chest before the ceiling collapsed.

If everyone is okay to wait until nightfall I'll move things along, if you'd like to split off and pursue other investigations just let me know.

Shara, you mentioned research so I've sent you off to the library with Kendra. I added the results of your Knowledge check to the Journal thread, you managed to find out the names of the infamous five prisoners.

Everyone else is cooling their heels at the Lorrimor household when Keanala is attacked by stirges. There's a thread up for the combat, you can post there concurrently.
