DnD 3.5 rules starting at 5th level.

32 point buy.

9,000 gp starting gold (standard for 5th level).

Max HP at level 1, use average for later levels.

Characters start with 1 free regional feat.

No evil alignments.

Pls avoid ridiculous min/maxed, multiclassing, outsider, optimization.

No Magic of Incarnum, Psionics or Eberron material, everything else is up to DM fiat.

PH, PHII, DMG, Complete series and Forgotten Realms books are the safe bets.
