Re: OOC
Yesa massa. Was skimming through the pages to see where i would be and why i wasn't helping. lol Will post within the hour, pending a response from the DM.
[Private to GM: That said, do i have any knowledge i can offer these people? Something to tie in with going with them or them going with me? Or even a healing potion or two to burn through right now to help with those with 1 hp (since the medicine kit doesn't actually do anything besides stabilize?
I do have an herbalist kit, and a medicine kit so it would fit well enough.

Lol Mis'sha. I didn't even notice your post. xD
A Killer killing killers would still make them killers, so then the killers who killed killers would be hunted by killers who would then kill the killer of killers making the killing cycle continue. :O

Ok, added all new applicants. Take the time to work on your PC, get to know each other. The slot in the original party will be filled by one of you. [Private to Lavarian Galonodel: Possibly you.] [Private to Nihil: Possibly you.] The others will form a new party.

Re: OOC
Hello everyone, I'm excited to get started on this. And this is also extremely awkward. I'm moving to a new house as I type this and it may be a few days before I get internet back on. I'm hoping for just a day or two without. It shouldn't be any later than this weekend but who knows with private companies. They move at their own speed. I apologize for the inconvenience and I will try my best to post from my phone.

Re: OOC
I guess I could be a sorcerer? Honestly, I don't find the 5e sorcerers to be particularly appealing. The Dragon lineages aren't a lot of fun for me, and Wild Magic is... well, let's just say I got my fill of psyker bullshit in 40K, thank you very much.

Well, good thing in this game anything goes for sorcerer archetypes. You can use any third party/homebrewed material for your sorcerer. I just added one to the homebrewed material if you don't want to look further.

Actually I have a great recipe for triple-spice cupcakes!

They may involve gunpowder.

They may actually be exploding cupcakes.

They may actually be used for assassinating wizard-lords.

Lol. And Lavarian; you should check out Favored Soul or the Storm Sorcerer from unearthed Arcana. They're both pretty good. Here's the links, the first includes Favored Soul, and the second includes the Storm Sorcerer.

Has anyone read the Powder Mage trilogy by Brian McClellan?  I just started the third book, and that gunpowder cupcake sounds like a tasty power-snack for a powder mage :D

Actually, the version of the Storm Sorcerer from Waterborne adventures is an older version.  The "official" one is printed in the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, minus the bonus spells.  Favored Soul still has bonus spells, which makes it kind of bonkers since it also gives armor proficiency and an extra attack :P

I have, indeed. He's one of those characters that has never been able to go anywhere because the games with him keep dying, so I shuffle him around until he finds a home.

Also, I'll check out those archetypes when I have a bit of time after work.

Never read them, no.

And yeah? How did I not konw that lol; I own the SCAG. Though, I have to say without the bonus spells the Storm Sorcerer seems like it might be kind of... eh.

Re: OOC
Speaking of SCAG, will be multiclass in this guy. Bloodhunter order of lycan and warlock undying from SCAG, maybe some ranger too.

Makes for a very interesting build. Will be an undead slayer. Ranger favored enemy undead.Bloodhunter hunt them anyway, warlock undying am almost one of them myself.

Re: OOC
In reply to Karliah Culver (msg # 222):

I'd totally recommend that series to anyone, but given your gunslinging character concept I'm sure you'd especially enjoy them!  It's set in a fantasy version of the French revolution, with powerful elements-manipulating sorcerer nobility and upstart powder mages who use gunpowder to heighten their senses, guide their musketballs and control explosions.  It's way cool.

Storm Sorcerers are still pretty cool with all the flying and features that spit out extra lightning damage, but none of the bloodlines are nearly as powerful as Favored Soul.  They cut the extra spells from Storm since fewer spells known is what's supposed to balance out the power gained from metamagic and sorcery points.  Of course, Favored Soul still has the extra spells plus armor/weapon proficiency and an extra attack, so it's kind of out of control powerful :P
