Sorry about the delay in posting an action. My two dogs are super sick, and I even took the 4 month old into an emergency vet this past Sunday because he was seriously scaring me. I even had to syringe my pup water and chicken broth because he wasn't eating or drinking.

Anyway, my nights have been pretty sleepless with hacking/coughing/gagging dogs, cleaning up dog puke all over the house. Bleh!

I will prod Cole tomorrow about posting.

I'm getting crushed at work this week.  I will post an update on Saturday.

Decisions,  decisions.  Try to save our wizard, or let the druid keep her cool rope-toy.  Well, I guess rolling up a new character shouldn't be that hard.

Probably should read the operator's manual before using the rope/spider again.

True that, true that. Wizards are high-risk investments as characters, that's sure.

I don't think I've ever played a 1st edition magic user that made it past 2nd level.  Probably why I now only play characters that can wear armor, preferably with a shield.

And the lady that gave it to me had no idea how druid magic works. And...Dreya is learning on the fly!

I'm a bit confused--do we want the portal workers to open the portal or no?

No one in the party has communicated with the portal technicians.  When you (the party) entered the chamber, you immediately attacked the spearfish standing in a line waiting for you (they were not surprised and presumably heard you coming).  The portal technicians were doing something to the portal when you arrived and have continued working on it while you dealt with the meat shields and knocked out one of the workers.

Can Seline see in front of her whatever the portal worker that she finished tying up was working on? and if so does it look like it can be easily damaged

Looking closely, Seline can see there are a variety of dials and levers on the outside edge of the portal.  She can also see numerous small holes in the edge.  Smashing the dials and levers may be possible.

I am traveling for work and may not be able to update substantially until Friday.

Elwood can cast Spiritual Weapon and smash the controls at a distance,  sp Seline doesn't have to risk getting shocked.

I'm going to be on vacation from April 28 through May 8th without access to a computer during most of that time. I'll let you know when I am posting the last update before I will be away.

We've been sluggish with the game posting rate for the last few months.  We started at a brisk post every 2 days, but recently it's been more like 3-4 days between posts.  I'm trying to get us back to our original posting rate.  If the pace is presenting problems for people, please let me know.

I will always endeavor to let you know when I can't post every 2 days.

I am, conveniently, also going on vacation in almost the same time-frame (from April 28 through May 5).

I've usually relied on RPOL's email notifications to provide 'gentle reminders' to check in and post.  For some reason, I quit getting them about a month ago.  However, about 2 days ago a flood of RPOL emails filled my mailbox, and it looks like everything is back to normal.
