Re: OOC Discussion

In addition, if Snarg is to be believed, you can return to the surface by touching the wall behind the spell casters.

Re: OOC Discussion

I was considering that as well, that we all flee to live another day, which is always a viable option.

I'll give Cole until tomorrow to post a clarification on his action, then I'll post the next update.

I just texted "Cole". Not sure she realized you were waiting on her to post something. She will post soon now.

Just to clarify, did Dreya have to burn that hero point? Just want to make sure to adjust my records if so.

Could you clarify who is where and who can see whom right now in the party?

Re: OOC Discussion

I am fairly certain Elwood and Dreya are somewhere in the clearing surrounding the cabin with the building in sight. Everyone else should be in the main common room of the cabin with the magical fireplace.

I don't know...I set the bar really high as the inaugural party "leader", by nearly leading us to a TPK.

Don't flub it Elwood!

Sorry about the delay, folks.  I'm sick and trying to get some rest.

I'm hoping to have an update with XP awards and in-town action tomorrow.

I'm feeling much better than Friday.  My stomach is still a bit wonky, but I'm functional.  Looking forward to seeing what direction you all decide to go next.

Re: OOC Discussion

I have added an NPC thread to keep track of the NPCs you encounter/hear about in your adventures.  I know I need it (it's tough to remember NPCs from 2-3 months ago), so I'm guessing it will help all of you as well.

Re: OOC Discussion

I'm considering starting a game of Cheat Your Own Adventure on RPoL.  It's a free 2-page game that allows a group to create/simulate a Choose Your Own Adventure story as a game.  Players trade off being the narrator with other players writing options (e.g., to look down the creepy well, turn to page 65) at decision points.

Chime in here if you're interested.

I actually backed out of another similar project do to the rising pile of writing projects building up for me, including the sequel to Winds of Fate!!!  Yay!!  So unfortunately, I shall pass on this.  Sounds like a great idea though!

I'll have to pass on this too.

Wow,  a real writer in the group.  Please forgive my mangled grammar and improper punctuation.

Re: OOC Discussion

In reply to Elwood (msg # 191):

Technically, two, as "Cole" is my co-author. But don't worry. You are quite safe. SELINE, however, (who is someone I know) makes my OCD grammar side go crazy, and I edit those posts. LOL!!

So because I can't help but pimp the book, anyone interested in epic fantasy adventure should check out Winds of Fate. It is out of stock in print at the moment, but can easily be found on Amazon Kindle. (Easiest to find by searching for Brooke Koenig or Roz Diedrich, as there are other identical titles out there.)

Re: OOC Discussion

In reply to Dreya & Elwood (msg # 192 & 191):

The hardest thing for me as a writer is switching styles for this play by post. I know our castle keeper has pm'd me a few times chiding me on verb tenses! Alas, I am slow getting the hang of the constant active sounding verb tenses when writing, but I am getting there I think.

Re: OOC Discussion

It looks like the party wants to break up the child slavery ring.  I need to do an update on Seline's interaction with the Gambini crime family so that you have a better idea of the resources available and options.  I should have something put together by the end of the weekend.
