 As compared to a Ranger/Woodsman/ Frontiersman and a Thief, Amalric sounds like a heard of Elephants in that tunnel. Or so I am assuming. Feel free to contradict me, GM.

A roll of 4 or more will pretty much always be a success.

Also, don't forget that you get to roll two dice for each check (one of your attributes and one of your abilities), even if you feel pretty confident about one die doing the trick. You never know when you might need that second one... :)

Sorry, I mean: any time you're going to roll dice (to check to see whether a particular action succeeds or fails), you'll make two dice rolls, as described in my last post.

I think in one of the recent checks, Valornor rolled just one die. He succeeded, which is awesome, but he cheated himself out of a second opportunity for success, if that first roll had been a failure.

1) I run my own character, you don't. You should have in-character whispered for Tristan to "don't forget to close the door."

2) Tristan hasn't left the door yet. He's waiting to see how badly he failed his sneak. There are a few options remaining. I guess the GM missed that. So be it.

Folks, surely we can separate IC personality conflicts from OOC ones!

Sometimes one character will make a decision IC that the other characters may not like. That's totally in line with the sword & sorcery genre. What matters is how we spin those consequences into interesting new conflicts. But let's save that energy for the IC threads.
