I don't think you have that luxury speeder as that was in a previous campaign...

Re: OOC: Out Of Character
Just a note to those rolling new characters, or for just about anything needing dice rolls, please use the Dice Roller (Link back to this game) for greatest ease and transparency. Not that it's been any issue, but it makes it easier to number check if that's what you want me to do.

For in-game rolls, especially combat, it makes it easier to paste rolls into your post too.

Thanks!

Just so you know, you can always go back and edit a post. This especially true if you are making OOC comments and have a typo. It's not necessary to create a whole new post, just to correct one mistake or mistype.

For the MG crew, waiting on Noolan to answer before proceeding. Will give e him one more day, then NPC and move things along.

Re: OOC: Out Of Character
I would like to take a vote. I know it's been mentioned before, but I decided to push ahead with current story lines in all the various groups. A wise GM/DM mentioned splitting the groups for manageability. My intent was to try to bring everyone together, because I like when everyone gets along and strangers meet in a strange land across cyberspace sometimes.

My point is, do we want to reset the groups and either put everyone together as one large group, or keep groups separated.

In separate groups, the Jakarta group would be put together with a little back story (other than the one from the introductory adventure, that was really just a quick distraction).

The Lusaka group can continue in the current story, or reset as well. If we get a larger overall group, then the story would be reset.

Thoughts? Opinions?

Ultimately, I want everyone to have fun whatever we do.

I see it as this:

Benefits all together:
*  Easier for the GM. You have one main storyline to worry about.
*  People get to "meet" one another?

Benefits apart:
*  Same timezone (at least for Jakarta).  Thus, posting between players easier.

I am perfectly fine either way frankly.

I am with L-1337 in that I can go either way. I was liking where you were headed though. Getting us together through a rescue op or an escape gone wrong is a nice introduction. Better than the classic there you are in the local cantina, when you spot across the bar -etc...

L-1337 made one good point though about time zones. It is easier for him and I to coordinate because we are on the same time. With a larger group across multiple time zones the "lag" in coordination may be larger. The only drawback that I see.

In reply to Jax Watashi (msg # 200):

My two cents:

I like the idea of a group, "combined" adventure, it raises the possibilities for interesting interplay between the various abilities and personalities.

I see the potential for time zone differences slowing things down, particularly in combat, but will they have any more effect than people getting busy at work, travelling, etc.?

So, maybe attempt a combined adventure, and if it becomes unwieldy find a reason to split the party by time zone?

That said, I'm on board for whatever folks decide.

Re: OOC: Out Of Character
Thank you for the response posts to my proposal thus far.

So, the reset to bring everyone together would be something along the lines of establishing an existing backstory to get you all together, such as you've all been recruited to be a part of the same rebel cell (and not to spoil it for anyone, but possibly have some Imperial moles too...).  Since there are so many pilots, it may be a fighter squadron setup, or at a minimum the crew of a larger ship (not capital size, but a large freighter likely).  I can also accomplish (and am somewhat moving toward) the latter with the current setup as well, but it will take some time since RPOL is not meant to be a fast-paced gaming environment.

Also to address time zones, RPOL as I mentioned is specifically not fast, but also because of that is ideal for those across time zones, and can be done in-between checking work email and such (although I do not have the time at work usually myself to do anything gaming related except look up a few things once in awhile).  I am usually typing up posts on the shuttle to and from work, but it's not so easy to do on a tablet (especially the formatting), but again RPOL facilitates multiple time zones, because it's not expected that posts will be rolling in at a normal in-person or even live online gaming session.

I would like to hear from everyone that's still interested in playing before we completely revamp if we end up going that route.

So new player here....I've only known the GM from gaming here on RPOL all the way back to 2006.

I'll be posting IC once the GM gives me the go ahead.

Quick question.  Does L-1337 look like a stock droid? Or could he easily be recognized?

I've often seen the character description for a character on RPOL never being updated (even after years of play), so I didn't know how up to date that is.
