Dungeon Lord's Chamber
Far off safely detached, the Dungeon Lord resides within a large room. Consisting of a throne made of the armor of adventurer's he's slain, Baradox sits upon it and rules his domain with a black heart and an iron first. Grovel, his loyal and helpless sniveling Imp minion watch the entire dungeon from a magical chess board.

Dungeon Lord's Chamber
It had been easy disposing of the prattle. That had been what, the sixth or seventh band of "Heroes" this week that have decided to come knocking upon his door? Either the town above really wanted to get rid of him, or the people on the surface world were getting bored. No matter, all the gold and magical weapons, armor, trinkets, and other items were divvied up among the few generals he trusted, though most of the more valuable trinkets went to his personal collection.

Yet there was one, a young Human lad who had escaped death. On top of that his enchanted sword could not be touched. While unconscious he had tried so many spells to remove it, but whatever was keeping the sword bound to the Human boy was all but a mystery to Baradox. Which was a wonderful thing, when was the last time someone fascinating had been trapped within his Dungeon? Years? Decades?

Eventually the boy would fail, like most often did, and he would add another body to the pile of washed up adventures who tried their luck at killing him. Standing upon a large cliff Baradox glared down upon the pits. Filled with treasure, it glimmered brilliantly in the soft torchlight. While Kobolds and Goblins sorted out some of the gold and gems to be melted down into his own unique currency. Created to make sure it wasn't spendable upon the surface, the coins looked like gold, but had his handsome face printed upon both sides of the coin.

He smiled to himself, his hand holding a large magical staff, basking in the glory of his work.

"Master! Master! Terribles! Terribles it is!" came the annoying broken voice of a small imp. "Masters! Masters! Some of your statue things have crumbleses!"

THat got his attention. Turning his head the handsome man glared down at the Imp with an expression that didn't really want to give the thing the time of day. "What did you just say Grovel?" he spoke in a handsome yet serious and dark tone.

Grovel swallowed as he cowered before his master. "T-The Statues! S-Somes of thems ha-ases crumbled!" he stuttered before kissing the man's shoes. "It wasn'ts mes! I swears! I wases sweepingese and saws them crumblings on the high shelves!"

An annoyed sigh escaped Baradox's lips. Whatever that sniveling idiot was talking about he'd better go check upon his collection. Making haste, with Grovel following close behind, Baradox made his way to his throne room. In the middle sat a small table sized chess table. Around the throne room sat elaborate cabinets filled with chess pieces of all kinds. Yet these were special, crafted by himself they were small images of those who had ventured into his dungeon. Many of them were full, yet there was one yet to be filled all the way. Six special chess pieces had been crafted as a matter of fact, during his small adventure in collecting Six Monster Girls to become Generals of parts of the Dungeon.

Yet sadly, most of them rebelled, so they had to be chained and their power ciphered into magical essences sitting upon another shelf. The pylons attached to them were special and drained their power, ranks, and everything to the basic level. Monsters had levels, and some of them evolved into more powerful forms as they grew in power. Baradox stole their essence to use as a bargaining chip after they had been punished. He would let them drink their potions and gain it all back once they truly swore alliegance to him! It's how Monster Girls were, so rebellious.

Opening the cabinet he found three of the six chess pieces crumbled. Frowning he wondered if the Raven, Succubus, and Vampire, had all perished. Pity, they were nice to look at. Well the Vampire and Succubus. To think he had almost bedded one and allowed another to drain him. He was a man after all, and all men had weaknesses no matter how powerful! Was he angry? Yes furious! Though another chess piece caught his attention. It was the figure of a red haired swordsman. Picking it up he held it, noticing it was glowing.

Baradox could feel it, the monster girls were alive. "So he can destroy my Pylons? " he snarled examining the chess piece.

"See! See! It wases all that onese faults! Grovel didn't breaks anythings! Heses to blames! Masters should rewards Grovel for findings and warningese! Yes! Yesses! Likes maybes some goldes yeses! A large piles of goldes for mes to sleepses upo---" Grovel found him self silenced when a foot pressed into the Imp's throat.

"Silence you fool! Can't you see I'm trying to concentrate here! One more word out of you and I'll make sure I crumble your chess piece myself!" growled Baradox.

"Y-Yeses G-Grovels b-be silenceses..." the Imp spoke gasping for air. Removing his foot the creature spent most of his time gasping for air while he brought the piece to the table. Setting it upon a square, the images of what the pylons, and the magic of the dungeon, showed him what had happened. From Cresstus breaking the pylons, freeing the Raven Tengu, Succubus, and now Vampire, to him shattering prison cell doors.

Normally this would make him very cross. Yet a dark grin fell upon his face as a soft bellowing of laughter escaped his lips! "Finally! A challenge! Oh-ho I knew you were special! Well then Red Knight, let's see how far you get within my little dungeon. Or how little the women that accompany you care about you! If it's a game you want, then I'll gladly entice your follies!" with the snap of a finger the throne levitated and moved to where he stood. Taking a comfortable seat he watched as the four were now possibly planning on leaving the prisons. When the time came he would add his own pieces to the board.

It was now time for a game! Some excitement! Just how far would this little "knight" chug before he ran out of smoke? Baradox was ecstatic at that very thought!

Baradox's eyes glinted with evil mischievous intent as he watched the Red Knight foolishly free four of his useless 'generals'. When they had first come to him he happily accepted them into his ranks. Yet they eventually turned to feminine wiles! Love was something he didn't need, Baradox wasn't in the mood for offspring. He would always be the Dungeon Lord. Frail concepts like romance showed signs of weakness in his eyes. He could not fault them, he was quite the handsome man. His power and grace touched every corner of the Dungeon.

Even when Duella shouted her threats they were hallow. He knew that the little tin princess would escape her bounds with or without the help of the Red Swordsman. He had stored up enough of her power to command armies of death for eons! One by one other chess pieces of monsters he summoned from his cupboards crumbled to dust. His one hand on the chessboard in front of him, the other on a globe of dark miasma displaying the current events of the small forming group. The Undine had been freed, yet what good was a washed up Maiden of the Sea? Her race perished easily in his dungeon. He had no use for her, let the fishy woman attach her new fleeting hopes upon the Human. In the end Baradox would still win. It was how it was meant to be after all.

They had made their way to the footsteps of the first town it seemed. Well, they would have to pass another block of cells and deal with the Master Jailer Grynn. A large one eyed Ogre infused with his dark magic. Grynn always held a wicked, jagged, crooked, smile as he obliterated those who had gotten close to him. A challenge noted worthy for his new 'project'. The Red Swordsman could have been a possible threat, but even if he was able to take down Grynn there were other more powerful Generals at his disposal. If the group could reach the town, then that would be their reward. Yet he doubted it, no one had ever come across Grynn and won or lived to speak of his name.

Knowing better then to disturb her lord while he worked or was deep in thought, Mimi remained silent and kept her distance from him. Until summoned or commanded there was no need to disturb him with her presence. With that thought in mind she stretched her petite yet well toned body from side to side. She had just had quite the work out and could most certainly use a bath and a good nap. Not sure which of the two she wanted to do first she simply stood there tapping her chin thoughtfully.

Silence filled his chamber, his eyes downcast from those in the room. Grovel slowly backed away and hid behind one of the cabinets. Anger swelled in Baradox like a balloon. This pathetic little human, had just not only destroyed Grynn but also had collected some of his special Miasma that had manifested after the battle. He wanted to scream, to rip that young man's body to pieces. Looking at him standing there with that stupid grin angered him.

Yet just as he was about to flip the chess table, he laughed. A long and loud hysterical laugh that echoed about the chamber. "My my it seems that I have misjudged the Red Knight!" he scowled then stood up. "Grovel! Fetch me my dinner, I tire from this game! Let the little fool and those tramps taste their victories." with the snap of a finger the chess pieces returned to the cupboard and the throne retreated to it's original spot. He passed Mimi and gave her head a soft pat.

He had lost but at least his cat could keep him company. After all she was the only one too stupid enough to really break the chains of loyalty. "Have you been fed yet my dear?" he asked casually as if nothing had happened.

As if he hadn't just lost one of his powerful puppets. Grovel was still afraid no doubt, so dinner could wait. Maybe, maybe not. "My dear you look stunning as always." he flattered Mimi wanting only one thing now. Knowing she would love to get a bit intimate. He desired no children, but these female generals of his always assumed he'd allow them to breed! Pah, he would always remain the Dungeon Lord. No one could touch or kill him. Not even the pathetic Red Knight.

Mimi's ears perked up when as he walked past, her lord stopped to pat her head. She smiled happily. It had been a long time since he had showed her any kind of attention, so even if it was just a simple pat on the head, she would take it gladly. When he asked her if she had eaten, she shook her head. "Not yet my lord, I thought I might eat after I've had a bit of a bath as I've been working quite hard for you today." When he suddenly offered her a flattering compliment Mimi couldn't help but swish her tail and purr happily at him. "Oh well I'm glad my lord thinks so. It makes me happy."

The large doors to the chamber burst open. Behind them was a medium sized girl with long white hair that seemed to glimmer in the light. She had her nose upturned, a prideful position. But, then again, Aloisia was always prideful. One of the remaining Generals who hadn't turned on her Master, but not one who seemed to support him entirely. She didn't seem keen on betraying him, but nor could she care less about who sat in Baradox's chair and commanded her to defend him.

Hands flew to the Ice Wyrm's hips as she angrily grunted. It was obvious how upset she was, "Why didn't you all let me know that Grynn was in danger?" She asked, her words coming out as stubborn as possible. For a brief moment, she acknowledged Mimi with a nod. Her attention flew back to her Lord quickly, "I could have defended him! Now our dear friend is dead."

He smiled, good Mimi was still just as loyal as ever. "My kitty, soon I will give you a bit more power and you can have a go at the Red Knight and those fools who put their trust in him!" he mused showing that she was the only one he honestly liked. Baradox kept her close sending her on missions to build her up for an experiment later.

The doors burst open and the room was caught in a draft. Grovell shivered behind the throne trying to block everything out. The Petite Dragon had arrived. "He knew the dangers and to be honest I had expected him to win. No matter, I'll just trick another one of those Ogres into becoming Grynn once more. I believe this is the fifth I've had to create." he spoke flatly, not addressing the monster as his friend.

After a few moments in pampering Mimi he let her go and let her bathe if she desired. Turning to face the white haired girl he glared down at her as one of his hand on top of her head. "My dear, don't associate monsters as 'friends'. Grynn was another Pawn, one that in the end was no match for a boy with a magical weapon. What would have it mattered? Sending a little girl like you into a close spaced battle is foolish. What if you needed to switch form? You would fill the room and be useless!" he grinned a dark and malicious grin as his eyes seemed to fade from her view.

"Oh but if you really want to get revenge...then I've got an idea. Befriend this 'Red Knight', and get him alone. I noticed in the battle when he is separated from his weapon he stumbles. Get him alone and do what you do best. I mean when was the last time you had a Human to eat? Also...there is another reason why I want you to 'befriend' that little group. The Shifter has been freed from it's chains. I need someone to collect it for me before the silly thing starts to have a mind, and heart, of it's own. Do this for me and maybe next time I'll let you fight by my side when I go 'scouting' for new additions to my wonderful dungeon." he words were full of venom and too the point.

The less he would have to dirty his hands the better! Besides how comical it would be to see the Red Knight fall for a girl that was really a dragon, only to become her meal. The plan would work seeing how feeble Humans were when it came to pretty women. Aloisia was beautiful, but too small for his taste. He was a man of curves and while Mimi lacked some herself, the Neko still held more curves than the Dragon. Pulling away he turned from the Ice Dragon. "Go you have my orders! Fail me and I'll make sure to dump you into one of the lava pools. I hear icy things tend to melt if they're heated up enough." he spoke darkly, his words cold and sharp as her talons. Grynn was just a tool, he died because of what he was. To think that Ogre begged him for that power.

Baradox sat upon his throne. Thinking of what to do with the other 'general's when he caught them. Perhaps killing them all would be the only option. Their essence he had collected from their pylons had been enough. They wanted to rebel, let them. Yet everyone would learn full well that crossing him would be a huge mistake.

Mimi smiled and nodded at her lord when he mentioned he would give her a bit of power soon so that she could have a go at the Red Knight and his companions. When Aloisia came in and interrupted her time with her lord Mimi's fur stood slightly on end and she frowned ever so slightly over at her. It was no secret that she didn't like her, but she also wasn't foolish enough to act on that dislike as Aloisia was quite powerful and could probably easily beat her in a fight. So she just held her tongue and looked away from her. When she spoke of Grynn's untimely demise she had no emotion whatsoever and simply yawned into her hand as if bored.

"Dismissing those who serve you so easily when they fail isn't extremely flattering, milord. How annoying," She rolled her eyes, and once again brushed her silken hair away from her deep blue eyes. She wasn't pretty, or if she was, Aloisia didn't know it. She preferred to think of herself with other adjectives. Strong, loyal, truthful, and dedicated were among them. Yet, she was still infuriated, "Yeah. I'll bring your little shifter back, and a human should make for a tasty meal. This should be entertaining at the very least."

Already a ruse was beginning to form in her head as the wyrm took a steep bow. In all honesty, she didn't like Mimi... And for the most part, she only tolerated Baradox as a Lord. Mimi was too... simple... for her tastes. Always eager to please. Always waiting for her next order. They weren't too different, but Aloisia knew that they were at the same time. Lisa just wanted someone to protect, Mimi wanted Baradox specifically. Some of the other Generals were her "friends", if one could call anyone in the dungeon a friend, but the person she had been closest to was Grynn. She had liked him, mostly for his strength, but also for his sheer will power. He had been a good soldier.

Aloisia then turned around, sweeping out her hair. She had preparations to make, and needed to make it to the goblin village as soon as possible. This should be an interesting battle, even if she wasn't built for stealth.

Mimi watched Aloisia take her leave from the room with the slightest of frowns. She couldn't help but think she would've been better at infiltrating the Red Knight's little party then Aloisia. After all cats were build for stealth and sneak attacks. In any case it wasn't her place to question her lord's word, no matter how she wanted at times. In any case she wouldn't bother herself with matters that didn't really concern her at the present moment. Instead to turned to face her lord, her tail swishing softly behind her as she did so. "My lord may I take my leave now?"
