I've had a revelation, having given this some thought.
I have managed to be both too ambitious and not ambitious enough.
Too ambitious, in the sense that I am wasting energy and expecting an outcome beyond that which I can see.
Not ambitious enough, in that what I have made is unsuited to what I am dealing with.
This is one reason I suggested that perhaps Versers might be better measured using a variation of the Kardashev Scale. So as to scale adventures for them.
