Broken Fate Reforged staring Magnus

He puts his hands up in kind of a gesture telling you to relax and hold that thought. "It would be better to address this in the underground bunker. Echo will have to turn the State's security back on soon. Luckily it isn't a live feed so she should be able to doctor it quite easily." He straightens up his fancy tie and gestures that you follow him as he goes into what you can only assume is the town hall. "She's usually rather cross about fixing on such short notice, but I think I speak for the intire town when I say, "Thank You." Just as he leads you to the very back of the building a noticeable ding comes over the intercoms. "Ten seconds." He rushes you in to what initially looks to be a bathroom. He leans towards you and whispers."Thankfully, even the State has some level of decency left, at least as far as our town is concerned...and as far as we can tell." He snorts, and calls out for his secretary. "Nancy cancel my appointments, I've got the bricks again!" He then takes you to the last stall and mouths Elevator.

"Sir, Please stop telling me. I know more about your bowl movements than I do homeworld fasion these days." As the secretary responds the ends of the stall extend so they meet the roof and floor. And the Elevator moves down at least a mile or more. Finally Opening to an underground bunker which despite its local is very inviting and comfortable.

"We can talk freely down here. We have been very careful that the state never find this location. Mr. Magnus, as I said above we all really appreciate what you did. Sadly our ability to put up any kind of fight is limited, with the exception of Sagrax, who refuses to fight for cultural concerns and yourself there is no one in town capable of it. We are all either too old, too young, or too important to the community to risk what you just did for us." He rubs the back of his neck and plops down on one of the two large comfy chairs. "As a stranger no less. Which only makes what I'm about to ask all the more...awkward. As I've said most of us can't fight. So we would need some help...to join the rebellion. We can send them supplies but we'd have no way to protect it. And we would need someone to deliver it. As we can't risk being directly tied to the rebellion we would have to ship it with our next delivery to the city of GlassCliffs." He looks down and takes a sharp breath before looking back up at you. "You are a stranger who came to our aid, could we ask this of you? To help us once more? We are not asking that you join the rebellion we would even be happy to have a stong young man such as yourself live here...but"  He looks down again. "Your probobly tired, and I'd hate for you to make such a decision hastily, you may stay here tonight...Regardless of your choise. And you are free to all the food stored here. If you need to speak to me before I return tomorrow, there is a blue button that signals my personal com. I'll come as soon as I can, so please be patient."

"Of course, the computer in the next room has several volumes on history and at least one on the intergalactic races if your intrested. But someone did add a bunch of notes to it that even Echo can't seem to remove...I wouldn't say they're inaccurate just inappropriate. I don't know just how far away you're from Mr. Magnus, but there is also a book on translations from various languages into trade. Your free to take it with you if you want, it's the little red book by the computer."

Splitting the books up into several post. When it comes to the books/ files meta descriptions are in orange, just wanted to be clear.
History will be part 2 please bare with me. And I'll go ahead and post part 1 even though you haven't left the room to read anything yet.

Compendium of Intergalactic species
Inside some of the pages seem to have been doctored with sticky notes. noted a *context*

Rȏc’rend:

Homeplanet: Rȏc’rim *Hostile does not begin to describe it.*

Humans have often described them as bipedal: dragons, lizards, or dinosaurs. They often have rounded boxy structures making up their faces and and feather patch growths akin to human hair. They are almost always muscular through most of their lives with the exception of old age when the males and females go through massive muscle loss and a significant sexual dimorphism called Hunch’Rȏc for males and Slim’Rȏc for females.

* A Rȏc’rend is not considered an adult until the first of their three horns has grown in usually the one over the snout.

* Hunch’Rȏc become one of the toughest organisms in the galaxy and often subject themselves to being punching bags for their hatchlings. The proudest moment and death for a Hunch’Rȏc is said to be when one of their children manage to beat them to death. *Never wait for a Hunch’Rȏc, they are also known to be one of the slowest creatures in the galaxy.*

* In opposition to their male counterparts the Slim’Rȏc, become very fragile but retain a more than respectable top speed averaging 45mps and current record of 60. They split their time between keeping records, caring for hatchlings, and serving as advisors. *If you are not a Slim’Rȏc do not try to keep up with one they may be fragile but you are the one who will die.*

youth                    birth -20
adalecence          21-50
adult                    First horn comes in ends when they fall out
Old age                     looses all three horns until death/101-150 *It does not matter how they loose their horns. The cruelest thing you can do to a young adult is break all three, before they have a family and watch them age over the course of the next week.*

Zwqua:

Homeplanet: Lek-qua *Water looks nice but don’t drink it, an entire civilization lives in it.*

These Amphibious beings have a life cycle akin to frogs, though they more resemble fish in appearance and around the age of 5 they can walk and breath on land. Their ears are formed from specialized fins and although they breath air just as easily as water they have very prominent gills starting on the cheeks and ending just before the shoulders.

They  have the strangest teeth of all sentient species they only have a third of their teeth visible in their tri-jointed jaws the rest are in their esophagus.

**What they don’t tell you is that the real important feature is the eyes. There are two varieties slits and wides. Wide have them on the sides of their heads and make up 70% of their race, the observant may note that when a part of a population out numbers the rest by a lot there are more than a few tensions. Humans prefer dealing with slits as they look less weird which is why you will see a lot more slits in human territory than not.*

*Oh and you haven’t lived until you tasted their cooking.*

Humans *you know what these are so I’m skipping it.*

65% galaxy

Wyvet

Homeplanet: Gus-Tok *Cold, very cold, frigid in-fact; you know what, just set yourself on fire you may just stay warm enough not to freeze. Just kidding of course you’ll freeze.*

From a distance one could mistake these beings for avian, but they have no wings for flying at most they can glide with the extra mass on their arms. *How are they not wings?* And they have no feathers instead they are covered with short *SOFT AS HELL* thick and efficient fur. They have pointed ears covered in a thiner fur as not to disrupt sounds and usually possess sharp beaks and forward facing eyes.

*They are widely considered the best shots and pilots in the galaxy, which many attribute to their superior eyesight. *Don’t forget they own your jobs, just saying relevancy.*

Kinsok

Homeplanet: Xos *This place looks a lot like an exoskeleton of a beetle from a distance and it should be mentioned everything lives under the surface. Don’t visit without a wish to die by radiation. or get under the surface using an anti-rad tank*

On the surface most may think the walking talking Exoskeleton is actually what the Kinsok looks like. And while the slender beetle like four armed biped is rather prominent in their culture it is not in-fact a natural exterior to the Kinsok. Whose entire body fits into the head and neck region. Their eyes are the only thing you are likely to ever see as they prefer to at least see the world with there own eyes. They are in-fact insectoid in build and have the fleshy consistency of an octopus.*If you want to get on one’s good side compliment their exo suit, they take pride in making the suits themselves and it is in-fact a right of passage to make your first exo. Even if it is a box model it is rare for one not to improve the hard or software so the handling or effectiveness may also work. In or out of the suit though they are masters of tech.*

Common History of the Red Tail *Hawk* Galaxy

*I assume, because it looks nothing like a fish. While we’re at it why did it get named for an Earthen creature?*

Bullet points Sssssoooo many bullet points.

*Gafror State is the third interplanetary government in a thousand years.

*The first, longest running and oldest *About 1999 years running. :< and on the eve of its 2000th anniversary too.* was the Tur-o-shin Dictator ship. *MAG~ICAL TYRAN~NY*

*All that currently remains of records is the high death rate, a few journals from various levels of society, the first multi racial government implemented, and the fact that it was a Dictator mage and his magical tribunal. All other records were destroyed in various events, some related to their overthrow and some not.

* Ufror Ministry started as a religious movement claiming that magic users were all evil. *Given who their predictors were it was often hard to argue.* They required all mages to register sometimes plucking out eyes and tongues of mages or as was often the case just killing them or using them as living slave batteries.* TYRAN~NY OF MAG~IC*

* approximately lasted 500 years

*Gafror State is 200 years old, The leader was originally apart of the ministry until his eldest was revealed to be a mage. After the they were denied permission to cover up the kids magic, his wife died and he fled the capital planet. *It is unclear in what order these events occurred and there is much speculation if she even actually died or if it was used to help justify his quest to over throw the ministry.*

*The State gave mages rights but also required them to keep a registry both of their existence and of all spells they know. Some spells are classified as too dangerous for public safety and any that do know them are required to at minimum be on retainer for the military. *This has changed all mages are on retainer. And even the ones that own shops are monitored heavily.*

*Tyranny with magic, somehow it lost its zing*

Some planets also have their history recorded here:

Moluva designation: mining world. Originally uninhabitable it is the first planet to have used “Bubble Towns” to change the environment. The “bubble” is a special substance that allows some of the air developed and cultivated out, to slowly change the atmosphere. *Hello Rainwell, how did it feel to be third out of bata. I guess being one of the biggest should count for something after all you’re one of the reasons that some miners don’t answer to the state. Rainwell’s main exports of food, water and air, certainly makes it a lot harder to keep those miners in line.*

*As always the way you tell if one of these has gone bad is if Pan worship is banned, because they remember and get very nervous when it takes an upswing.*

I'll reply to the Mayor
"Thank you Mayor.  I guess I'll go ahead and read the books."

I'll read the books on the computer.
Interesting,  there are multiple non human sapient species here. And space travel seems common... The government I'm going to oppose is interplanetary...

I'll go ahead and find something to eat and read the instructions on how to prepare it. Prepare it then eat it.

You have a lovely selection. Most of the food is one of three things: Kep-Mok as best as you can tell is some kind of noodles, Iguin which the picture displays as some kind of four legged bird with an armadillo like shell along its back, or Racht which claims to be a Zwqua gourmet, apparently some kind of alien octofish.

Regardless of which you choose they taste good if a little strange.

The next morning you have a visitor Echo. She sounds tired and distant as she speaks, but perhaps this is how she normally is. "I'm just here to show you the secret exit. Marks also wanted me to let you know, we removed the footage of you entering town before it could be sent. So when you comeback you should say that your looking for work and act like you've never been here before. To avoid suspicion or something." She speaks as she leads you to a hidden trap door and opens it. Under the bunker is a large tunnel, in-fact you can't even safely reach the floor without a ladder which she unravels for you. "Oh, and there were a few other things, its a long walk back so take some water, watch out for Rittles, and follow the right wall so you don't get lost."

Rittles were described in a third book that I didn't bother writing. But you know they are similar to earth boars, live alone unless they have a litter, are vary taritorial and have a double split jaw.

"Hmm. No, I spent most of the night filling out paperwork, being the only one around here who does code I have a lot... And... Bit used to make that easier by he'd keep me company and help me stay on task. It just wasn't the same without him...Besides we keep what we call a fuzz-file on hand incase we need to doctor on short notice."

At the bottom of the shaft you get an eyeful of a large skeleton with small eye sockets and large forepaws with equally big, rounded claws. Babak- suberanian creature herbivore basicly giant mole. The reason I didn't describe hind legs, it doesn't have them. And farmers hate them often granting rewards for people that brings dead adults and some cities will use the babies as pets. "Fuck Babaks, but they did make a nice, convenent tunnel for us."

Once she is sure you are on your way she will close up the trapdoor.

The tunnel is almost pitch black with the trapdoor shut, the closest thing to light is some sparse luminescent moss. Which isn't nearly enough to see with, it could be noted though that along with the skeleton that there is also decidedly no moss directly under the trapdoor. You manage to find the right side of the tunnel and follow it without incident. You eventually reach the surface as best as you can figure you're about four miles from Rainwell and can just make it out in the distance.

As you walk along the path about a mile or two from your destination, you hear a loud SNORT accompanied by the pounding of a hoof. Seconds latter a creature that looks somewhat like a boar with the exception that it has a mane going around its neck and teeth along its face in a t shape, runs ahead of you spinning its head like a punk rocker. And then it proceeds to roar at you while stomping its feet for good measure.

The Rittle attempts to doge, but fails turning its next roar into a squealing grunt. It certainly felt the brunt of that attack, but shakes itself back into action. It makes two lunging bites at you, both low on the body.

Attack 1          32
Attack 2          24

Damage 1       14
Damage 2       20

The voice actually put some effort into pronouncing the name. ”Mmmag~nus?… stan' by." Stand by The doors make the caution sound and open. After the decontamination, Gramp Grump initially seems to be glaring at you as you pass, but his eyes betray his grimace with a strong presence of respect. The town is mostly quiet, regular work is happening in the fields and the closest thing to bustle is goods being gathered into a pile and marked off. “ If yer surius abut work s’eak ta de Mayor. If your serious about work speak to the Mayor. He gestures over to the group doing the piling.

Mayor Marks is standing off to the side calling out what is presumably produce “ Rittle Ripe… Pensop… Kar…” As he list them off someone is confirming their presence. After the produce is done they switch to decidedly non produce. "Oxagin tanks...Seeds..." As you approach he looks up and stares at you and adds something to the list. "Security...You're an awfully big fellow, interested in some work?" His gaze falls on the Rittle corpse you have on hand. "I don't see any weapon marks on it, what did you kill it with?"
