Re: Chapter One: The Road to Power
After his successful performance at the tavern, Goltinder joins the people who enjoyed his show and listens to their talk.
The first fifteen minutes, he'll just listen if anything comes up which might be connected with the Pelorites' cult.
He looks for strong and athletic people, who seem to have trained hard for some reason, because he suspects that the Pelorites will use physical force. (Of course, he doesn't mention these suspicions, he doesn't mention the cult nor the Pelorites.)
If he hears nothing of interest so far, he'll interrupt conversations and change the subject to violent confrontations at or near the docks. He'll suggest that he's heard about people getting in fights at or near the docks. And that one needs to be able to withstand the violence of others, by doing physical training or by having powerful friends.
