Episode Three: The Spectral Faults

Apache trots back over to Beloc, ears perks up and alert. He shakes bits of pumpkin guts and seeds from his snout and looks up at the apparition.

Episode Three: The Spectral Faults

R.E.B.O.R.T. loads another round and keeps his rifle trained on the ghost. He maintains most of his focus on his target while he slowly creeps over towards Krem's location to see how he is doing.

Episode Three: The Spectral Faults

The ghost speaks again. "So you seek to unstopper the drain that the half witted elf made a mess of". He starts to drift further away. "I'll have no part of it then. I rather enjoy my current form, and the punishments that await me in the afterlife aren't the savory kind. I will leave you be, but once your work is done, never return to this place, or you'll have me to deal with again..". He begins to shine brightly with energy the same color as his form. Rebort can sense immense amounts of magic radiating from his core. "...and at that time, I wont hold back!" he finishes with a shout. A loud chorus of ghostly laughter echoes in all directions, with hints of dozens and dozens of specters flitting in and out of the material plane. "Those idiot soldiers with their shambling dead slaves thought they could make a slave of me as well, but I'd rather exist in an eternity of ghastliness and a hollow being than be made some servant boy to others ambitions. So with that, I leave you, and take my company with me".

He begins to slowly drift away towards the fog, a maniacal grin spread across his face.

There is no response. Krem still levitates, covered in the teal fog, with his head drooping.

Sypher keeps his sword out and maintains a watch on the area with eyes, ears, and paladin senses in play while Shiaran figures out the Krem situation.  This was a logic problem, her realm more than his.

Episode Three: The Spectral Faults

Shiaran walks around Krem for a bit.  While it must be rather strange to be possessed, it does not appear as if he is in any immediate danger.  Rather than force, Shiaran opts for a more diplomatic approach...for now.

She circles back around to the front, though doubtless the possessor would sense her in any location.  It was just less disconcerting to talk to Krem's face.  "You said you know why we're here.  Can you offer insight in how to accomplish our goal?"

Episode Three: The Spectral Faults

Shiaran immediately goes limp for a brief second, and then her eyes and mouth flare out rays of ghostly light. It lasts for only a moment before she is returned to normal. Everyone else notices the fiendish ghosts all around flit away into nothingness, including Zahkrif. Krem gently slumps to the ground, groaning slightly. He opens his eyes and looks around, muttering a "Bloody 'ell".

Sypher looks Shiaran over with his paladin senses.  He shakes his head and shrugs.  "I don't sense anything evil, other than Shiaran's normal self."  He grins when Shiaran glares at him.  "She interacted with the undead.  No doubt it left something of a lingering effect on her own spirit.  It should fade.  Shiaran knows what she's doing."  He shrugs and doesn't seem to think any more about it.

"Yeh, Oi think so. What 'appened and where are we?". Krem looks around at everyone. The heavy fog drifts lazily all around, still keeping a sort of distance from the orchard. The air is still, and quiet.

"We're at the orchard.  You were possessed by a benevolent spirit attempting to help us.  Now you aren't."  Shiaran's rapid fire answers to Krem end as she starts off to the east, leaving Sypher to help the poor goblin to his feet.

While Sypher checks for wounds and the like, Shiaran continues to walk, speaking to no one ahead of her.  "It's good to see you, too.  You know what we have to do?  Where we need to do it?"

She glances at Beloc but speaks to Sypher.  "It's Kallium.  He wants your help to close the fault.  I don't have what he needs.  I need to touch you to transfer his spirit.  Okay?"
