The group together in Jenousie's wagon ride unimpeded if not cramped through the streets of Blackwell Village with Alaric trailing behind. There seems to be nobody about, or if they are they are pretending not to be about. A couple of shut doors and drawn shades make it clear the village residents are not fans of strangers or would be heroes, not matter your intent. There seems a definite general fear over this village. Passing over the Fayflower Bridge it is easy to see where the Fayflower river turns brackish as it joins the ocean. The Eastwilde Marsh sprawls out to the West. There are no encounters of note, save a starving cat or dogs running away from the mule and wagon as it ends up at the crossroads of the Coast Road and the Manor Road heading west. Here is an aging statue of a Messiahn Knight
As you turn the corner you are greeted by the large statue of Matinus Blackwell, "Giant Slayer", "Founder of Blackwell Estate" The statue seems carved out of solid stone but is smeared with years of mold streaking it with black stains here and there. It is hard to not notice these streaks almost seem to make it look like the statue is crying. The Manor Road appears to have been well maintained at one time lined with manicured trees on the North side by the marsh and picturesque farms to the South. The farms are now abandoned and lay dormant and the trees seem to be struggling to survive. The Manor Road itself seems long unused and what once was well maintained gravel seems strewn about and buried by years of rain and storms.
The Monument reads:
