Re: Feeling Crabby

Appalled at the battle of lunches (crab chowder vs goat stew), Ligeia drops her sling, draws her rapier, and leaps into the fray. Despite having recently (yesterday even) become more adroit with blades, her attack lacks conviction.

16:45, Today: Ligeia Strand rolled 10 using 2d6+8.  rapier attack +1 dmg. vs attached crab.

Re: Feeling Crabby

Seeing the attacking crab as the greatest threat to the group, Gorn takes his attack to that crab. Moving in between it's claws he attacks the body of the crab.

17:27, Today: Gorn rolled 17 using 2d6+5.  Melee Attack against Attacking Crab. (Double sixes, box cars, sure hope that's lucky)

Sadly Ligeia's rapier glances off the crabs hard shell.

The celestial dog attacks and misses but latches on to a leg of one of the crabs pulling Felund.  No damage but it manages to slow them down.

With the near threat gone, Gorn left it to the others to save the goat from the crabs and ran over to the wagon to help Jenouise control the mule.

Gorn successfully calms the mule very well. He seems to have a touch with this creature.

Re: Feeling Crabby

The three remaining Crabs take their bounty into the marshy water near the Manor Road.  One consuming it's own kind without mercy the other two ripping Felund into a meal.  They disappear under the murky water.

The road ahead seems eerily quiet now.

Re: Feeling Crabby

Gorn just looked at Alaric then turned his attention back to the mule. "If I recollect correctly, you chose to ride him into battle. Can't say I've ever seen dwarven cavalry. His death is on you."

"Did anyone get injured?" as looked around the group. "I fear that is just the beginning of what we are about to experience as we continue the trip to the manor."

Releasing the mule's harness, "We'd best be moving along. If one of you would like to ride with Jenouise, Alaric and I will walk for now." looking at Alaric. "That is if you can pull yourself together." his voice carrying a teasing note to it.

To which Ligeia adds her two cents, quipping, "And your mistake was grooming a goat as your battle mount instead of one of these here giant crabs. You needed to go further up the food chain."

Re: Feeling Crabby

May the Messiah have Felund's soul Rubus says. I'll walk with you. I sensed, maybe just a trick of the mind, something very dark. I may have to face it.

Rubs gets off the wagon, approaches the Dog, and pats it. Thank you. He's ready to use his staff as a walking stick; his other hand holds the cross.

 Thanks Gorn.

Looking at the warrior with adoring eyes.

You are soo good with animals..

I for one feel badly for Felund.. but at least it wasn't one of us that became crabbie patties.

The bard moves the wagon slowly forward in the formation Gorn suggested.

Re: Feeling Crabby

Checking to make sure everyone's ready to move on, Gorn checks all of his equipment and continues the walk to the manor house. As they progress up the road, he keeps a wary eye for anything else suspicious or that appears out of the ordinary. If he gets to a point where he feels or sees the mist he will stop so the group can discuss what action to take at that point.

Note: Not sure if there were any rolls you want him to make against his skills.
