Great to hear! Looks like you three are the only ones, left.

So, where do we want to go from here? Soft reset back to the festival or something more of a time jump and a few levels and start fresh?

I would vote time jump over reset. I think we've got a decent enough grasp on what we're doing and where the story is right now. I don't think we need to bother much with reliving things.

Getting some fresh blood here might be good. New characters generally work out better in the long run than replacement characters, in my experience.

As for the quest options:

- 1 - Into the Wildlands
Griswold's affiliation with the Golden Thread make this a good choice for him, however I am currently playing the Tomb of Annihilation elsewhere and this seems like it could be very similar, setting wise.

- 2 - The Adventurer's Guild
Its description is more vague than the others.  Rightly, or wrongly, that makes it feel more generic to me. A more standard D&D romp, perhaps?  Personally I'd like something with more grandeur, but would work well for Griswold, rp-wise.

- 3 - Trouble in Sigheim
I actually like this option since we all suck at politics and Griswold has a penchant for upsetting the wrong people.  It could be a riot in all the wrong ways.  That said, I don't see us ever agreeing to become sell-swords.  It was good up to that last part.

- 4 - The Fursten Problem
I dunno about this one.  Not sure Griswold is cut out for what sounds like Guerrilla warfare.  Though he would like to spend more time exploring the silver forest.


If we have someone skilled in survival, I think 1 and 4 are good options.  If not, probably 2.

If people want adventure and urban settings, I can combine 2 & 3 or 1 & 3. After all, the southern continent is home to the Savanna Queens and Draaken. It can take place there or one of the Fursten city states.

Nice pitches for those potential stories GM! For each of them, a reason can be found to venture there - and all of them sound interesting I think. But I must agree with Wrenn that 3 is the least likely one for Kharash to be attracted to. Intrigue and politics are not really his thing.

I think my preference goes to 1 or 4.

1 sounds like we can encounter some strange and different and interesting things.

4 sounds like we can influence how the ´war´develops which is pretty cool.

For either of them, a rumor of another dragonborn (or the chance to find out a bit more about his people) would be enough to motivate Kharash going there.

Alright then. It’s a toss up between 1 and 4. Someone flip a coin and let me know what y’all want unless you can narrow it down. I also have several players looking to join. I’ll go through it with them to get their characters hashed out.

Y'all can go ahead and bump up to level 6. The new guys will come in at level 5.

As for the next Chapter, you will be headed north to the Fursten Border and Silver Forest. The time jump will be two years, so feel free to jump into a brainstorming session about some of the adventures you've been up to. Use the Rumor board as reference. I'll scrub Arizima and Brother Sul from the game, but they may show up as NPCs.

I have almost updated my sheet.  Changes made:

Level 4 ASI: +2 Dexterity
Level 5: Extra Attack
Level 6 ASI: Skilled (Feat)*
New Spell: **
HP Increased

*We are allowed to use Feats, right?  I forget.  If not, I'll change it.
Assuming we can, I thought we should have someone capable of doing the rogue stuff.  Griswold was sort of a free spirit as a child and it makes sense for him to have had these sorts of skills before, which he might have been practising again since.  So, he gained Stealth, Deception and Thieves' Tools.

**Not sure about this yet.  There's not much choice for him.  Its Mage Armour, Alarm or some sort of attack spell. Any suggestions would be appreciated.  It has to be a level 1 Wizard spell from the Abjuration/Evocation school.

I've also made the following gear changes, let me know if this is a problem:

+20 arrows
+ Thieves' Tools
Breastplate changed for Studded Leather

Your best option for spell is going to be Shield, reaction for +5 AC.

Mage Armor is a waste if you're already wearing armor.

Absorb Elements is decent, reaction to give you +1d6 damage if you can absorb an elemental attack.

Chromatic Orb gives you an array of damage types, in case we run into something with resistances.

Burning Hands gives you a fairly decent AoE spell for a level 1 slot. Thunderwave is similar.
