Imagine a place where fairy tales are real. Where magic is commonplace and the characters from the pages of our storybooks become flesh. They live, breathe and go on - far beyond the words 'the end'. This place is Grimmaria.

In the kingdom of Grimmaria, peace has finally been achieved. Twenty-five years ago, the Great War rocked the kingdom. Good and evil was pitted against one another in a struggle for absolute power. Eventually the tides turned and the forces of good triumphed. The forces of evil and all it's minions were banished to an island off the coast. This place would come to be known as Malus Reliqua. Evils rest.

Reliqua (as the locals know it) was cut off from the rest of the world. It was warded by a spell that made magic inaccessible on the island. It was a prison. But time passed and people adapted to life on the island. That was, until a proclamation came.

As far as I know it's supposed to be like Disney's descendants but not exactly.

In addition, Characters should have little or no magical abilities at the start. Any they do have would be suppressed by the magical barrier of the island.

Tech is Potter-esque.... with Magical communities having no real technology and Non-magical having a sort of steampunk sort (such as on the island prison)

Chernabog is the Big Bad Boss of the island with a Council made up of the "Royal" Villians like kings, queens etc. No details beyond that for that topic were given.

Talking Animals are not unheard of but not all animals talk in the setting and live side by side with ordinary varieties.

I believe some of us are still waiting for a post from Ophie about possible houserules and clarifications.   *cough* ...

Okay So.... Character Connections discussion.  Here is where my characters lay currently with the known Apps.

Gi (Kiykiy21)- Best Friend to AJ, Current Pet of Drizz (Cats as you know Own their people not the other way around)

Chance (Lode)- On and Off tempestuous BF of AJ.

Quinten Heart (Tez)- Possibly another Ex-BF but definitely someone AJ likes to Mess with for kicks.

I am not sure about the rest of you landlubbers. So here is some Public Knowledge on both my characters so people can maybe suggest some!

AJ- AJ is the Daughter of Commander Rourke; leader of the Compound which is the largest primarily military force on the Island. They are Mercenaries and usually just accept contracts from the various high mucky muck members of the Council of EVIL or run protection rackets.  AJ likes to mess with Q. Heart and his gang because Q.Hearts family has resulted in the Compound having to back out of the rackets in his territory... and cause he is just fun to mess with.

AJ herself is a rake hell. She is known to sell trinkets and pearls from her deep diving out in the bay but she is also known to love starting fights, drinking, have wild flings and generally never turn down a dare.  She is abnormally lucky and tough as well which is usually what carries her through those challenges.  She is armed with a fine blade and a heavy but simple revolver.  The rest is in her description.


Drizz- is only known as a very large black cat that can be found lazily napping pretty much everywhere.  Some MIGHT know he can talk but most don't cause he usually just doesn't feel like putting that much energy into things. Usually only giving himself away while he has  Some others might suspect that he is a literal Cat Burglar... but those people would also have to have figured out he is not a ordinary if over sized cat. Technically he is Owned by Gi but he pretty much does his own thing and she is his source of petting or tuna when he fails to find something somewhere else.

His Father lives deep under a dark forest in the shadow of Chernabog's caldera. He is actually a Cat God...an evil one... but was bound under the tree and ground where he is long before the island was made a prison by another cat god (tail chasers Song universe)

Perci's Character is now AJ's Drug Dealer and Occassional Holder of Hot Loot.

He is also Drizz's Arch-nemesis. The Dog Cat War is not a Cold one....

I just want to add that "occasional holder of hot loot" is not a euphemism for anything.  And that drug dealer is a strong word.  Marijuana grows in the earth and is a perfectly natural medicine...

For anyone curious who has not already heard, my character's parentage includes none other than the Big Bad Wolf himself.

Alameth is both a tinkerer and a forger for those that are trying to make any connections. He deals mainly in divine crafts (celestial technically) if you are trying to make connections.

Alana: (Bre) is a chemist by nature if you are trying to make any connections.

Alameth (My Character), is the son of Hephaestus and Loki. He is mute and quite helpful, especially if you are wanting something forged. He spends his time either in a mining shaft, the forge, or scouring the island looking for tranquility. As for people, he tends to avoid them as a general rule due to the fact that time with people tends to get rather awkward with him not being able to talk. He is quite willing to teach sign language to any that want to know it though. He is a bit of a perfectionist, especially with his crafts. (OOC wise, he tends to stick to making forged devices)

Nice! AJ would have been interested in learning Sign Language. It was probably because someone bet she couldn't, at least at first. She could see the tactical advantages an unspoken language could have.

As for crafting... Her sword has its own past/mystery that Ophie is in charge of so it couldn't have been made by him. Her Revolver how ever certainly could have! Its a MW 2 Heavy Pistol (2pp/10ep).

She may be young but she has significant wealth built up from her deep diving for pearls and treasure from all the sunken wrecks at the bottom of the bay so she would pay well.

He isn't too much into the price, but he wouldn't say no to a good deal. Put more of his history together last night (w/ Kiykiy's assistance), his father, Hephaestus, is on the island trying to help break the ward to get him to his mother, Aphrodite. Hephaestus doesn't know that it was Loki in the guise of Aphrodite though.

If she would do it, Alameth also likes friendly spars, whether hand to hand or with weapons. He is a chain fighter if you spar with weapons.

Sparing Partner is cool with me. She enjoys a good match and can pull her punches appropriately.

AJ bases her hand-hand /Sword/ Pistol on an Autofire Strike 2 +Mighty (Attack +6 to 8)...and several feats. Def +8 and an STR of 16 base or 22 when raging.

His sparring consists primarily of ranged disarm, plenty of feats, a base str/dex of 20, and +4 melee attack. He prefers either ranged disarm, ranged trip, block n disarm, or any combination thereof... and he tends to be pretty good at 1 handed extreme grappling...

Alani



The daughter of Hades and Yzma, Alani is five feet of sass covered in a layer of velvety white fur.  The fur suits her feline nature, especially given the ears, large, fluffy tail, and cat nose.  The rest of her, however, is human - and good looking at that.  Luxurious blue hair streams in layered waves past her waist, offsetting the paleness of her fur and making the blue eyes pop.  She has a curvaceous figure with a narrow waist.  Her choice of attire - usually revealing, tight-fitting clothes - only serves to enhance this dream figure.

Alani has a certain confidence about her.  It draws people in as much as her looks.  It's helpful that she's friendly, but don't cross her as you never know whether her words, swords, or proverbial claws are sharper.  You never know which she'll use either - only that if you do her wrong, you will be ripped to shreds in one way or another.  If you're lucky, it'll only be a tongue lashing, and not either of the matched pair of daggers at her waist.

Alani is never seldom spotted without one or two companions.  The first is Alameth, the quiet giant.  Her pristine whiteness seems at odds with the larger man's often-soot covered hands.  Still, they travel together often and have been a known pair for a very long time.  They converse quickly and easily with each other - and anyone else who bothers to learn sign language.

Her other frequent companion would be Kronk, Jr., who is simply referred to as Kronk.  Kronk seems to be not only cut from the same cloth as his father, but also of the same mold.  He's just as large, brawny and dumb as his predecessor.  He speaks with squirrels and loves himself some spinach puffs.  Like Kronk to Yzma, Kronk, Jr. seems to think Alani can do no wrong.  He'd do anything for her, and she values his loyalty.
