Re: OOC: Welcome to the Game
If you were a Cleric, you could do both at the same time:

https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic...ls/h/healing-flames/

The Animal domain gets you an animal companion (at -3), so there's your gorilla, and if you pick up the Boon Companion feat you get rid of the -3 to make it equal to character level.

Then you can heal him by setting him on fire :P

Welcome!

Waiting on Mog.

When I last checked I didn't understand the door puzzle but someone else asked about it, so I was waiting to see the answer.

Now I need to catch up on all the posts that happened since then. :D

Re: OOC: Welcome to the Game

For simplicity lets just say my character told them to take the other way.

Am stuck with some work that just refuses to go away.

Re: OOC: Welcome to the Game
I got a tendency of having NPCs not know the group well (even NPCs in the group) to be a bit standoffish. Like when a monk walks in from behind the group, doesn't say who they are and keeps moving when Zell tells them to stop well....

Good thing Zell doesn't really attack on sight. He'd be 'Who are you, why are you her, who sent you' type deal. He's more of a neutral cop :)

But he like Mog haha. Views it as 'got to protect the little ones'!

I did actually stop though, the only movement she made was leaning against a nearby wall :P

Actually the rogue took off afterwards and the King wouldn't have known about it :)

Re: OOC: Welcome to the Game
We lost Escar. So I got a question: Would you all like to start this game from scratch? New characters, bit of a different storyline (still going to go to the temple). Fresh start?

Re: OOC: Welcome to the Game
Well, you'd be pretty much in the same boat with one short.

At fairly low level i should be able to double as the fighter, and Mog has his Eidolon, so we should be able to manage the frontlines with Abby and Zell in support.

Besides, what's more Final Fantasy than a party of four? :P

Re: OOC: Welcome to the Game
Well still be nice to have a warrior...hmm.

But yeah between the monk and eidolan with the druids spells as well as the witch....

The chocobo makes thre group have 6 lol but Zell doesn't want him inside of here.

Kidding aside though, i'm the newest member of the group (not even officially joined yet IC) so i'm going to abstain on voting, but personally i'd say just keep the Game Ad rolling and see if someone bites.

I got you to let me play a Summoner. Not even the nerfed Unchained version. I don't want to make a new character. :D

Sorry, problems with the light company. :P

I like my character as it is.

I am ok with starting anew or we could go on.

Ok. So going to act like Escar wasn't involved or....? Up to the group. I'm fine either way.

Re: OOC: Welcome to the Game
Well, he was brought up ICly and i reacted to it, so i'd say just pretend he got nabbed by someone or something?

Maybe give him enough of a scare to call it quits after we free him (which requires minor NPCing)?

Re: OOC: Welcome to the Game
Throw the moogle through the door, see if there's a trap :)

So the group can go along the north passage, attempt to open the door or go back to the entrance?

Well, once we get Summon Monster there's no end to the number of meatshields that we can send to *coughs* Detect Traps for us.

Re: OOC: Welcome to the Game
True that is if it works. Depends on the trap and if it has a 'recharge' :)

But it def could work.

Knew I should have invested in whip. But then I wouldnt have resisted the impulse to crack the whip and declare: "Call me QUEEN!! Hohohohohoho!" :p

"No end" is generous, even with a summoner, it's only (3 + CHA) * 5 max. :D

Case in point, if we're in an area and are facing more than 20 traps... the GM really doesn't want us there :P

Which by Video Game logic means that's exactly where a bunch of high-level goodies are stashed, for when we're actually tough enough to tank 20 traps. :D

Hey, i'm a monk. Best saves in the game, remember?

Traps can't hurt you if they can't touch you :P

Re: OOC: Welcome to the Game
Ahh but you have to expect it and whatnot. Plus it could have a high DC.

Plus Paladins with high charisma I believe have the highest saves.

And it only takes 1 mistake with traps. Plus it doesn't have to be like poison or whatnot.

Monks do have high saves...but not at level 2 :)
