Unless stated specifically, this game is using dnd 3.5 game mechanics. Any rules that exist within that rule set are in force.
Ability Scores:
for all of my games moving forward I will be using the following rules.
- before epic level the max ability (after racial/age modifiers) is 20.
- before epic level the min ability (after racial/age modifiers) is 03.
quote:
if you start with a high score in an ability
- age can not increase it past 20...before gaining epic level
- the once every 4 level ability points can not increase it past 20...before gaining epic levell
- racial bonuses from templates or base races can not increase it past 20...before gaining epic level
- (tome/manual) can not increase it past 20...before gaining epic level
- wish/miracle can not increase it past 20...before gaining epic level
- things that can increase it past 20...before gaining epic level
- magic spells and psionic powers that expire
- wearable magic items (belts, gloves, amulets, cloaks, etc) which have bonuses that end when the item is removed.
if you start with a low score in an ability
- age can not decrease it past 3
- racial penalties from templates or base races can not decrease it past 3
- things that can decrease it past 3
- magic spells and psionic powers that expire
- wearable magic {often cursed} items (belts, gloves, amulets, cloaks, etc)
- wish/miracle
- most forms of curses
- ability damage/drain
roll 2d6+8 (7 times)
no rerolls
no dropping dice
take the best 5, and the worst 1.
starting level: 105,000 XP
the starting XP is a budget, that can be spent as the player sees fit
Hp:
max at lvl 1
rolled at every level after first
starting wealth:
200,000 GP
the starting GP is a budget, that can be spent as the player sees fit
starting races:
In a world populated by mundane races, characters must ensure that their arrival, and presence does not create more problems then you can solve.
The masses panic easily and characters need to be able to deal with that.
classes:
Due to the actions of players that have come before, gestalt is not a game mechanic players will have access to.
multiclass xp penalty is being used in this game.
