Hello. Harrumaku is a goliath swordmage, but I'm playing him as an oni who was stripped of most of his power and suffers under a divine mark that causes him pain if he commits evil or even thinks too many evil thoughts. He's big, red, and toothy, with long sharp nails and hard flesh that forms into spiky protrusions. His voice is gravelly and unpleasant, though he tries to be polite with it.

He likes to drink tea. He finds it calming.

What are your playstyles like?

I don't immerse very deeply in my characters and I don't get very attached to them. As a result, I tend not to get overly stressed about strategy or about the GM getting the rules right. My expectation is that the dice fall where they may and that if my character dies I get to bring in another one.

That said, I've played Harrumaku in a game before, though as I recall I left it before the second encounter. I have other ideas of characters I'd like to play, but I saw this group could use a defender (at least when I found it), and most of the ideas that came quickly to mind were for other roles.

I tend not to question or try to figure out what's "really going on" in game. I tend not to volunteer to roll checks that are about my character knowing things, unless they also involve my character actually doing something other than standing there thinking.

I've played D&D since the late 80s and 4th Edition is when I really started to enjoy it, because it mostly worked without the GM and players having to fix and rebalance things. I also like how the DMG encourages improvisational concepts; those have always been part of the game, but 4th Edition really talks about them in a way that works, using the language of improv theater.

So, that's me. I'm open to questions.

Human Brawling Fighter here. Think Norse boisterous bruiser-type. Not familiar with D&D mechanics much, especially 4th Edition, so bit of a learning curve. Hope that's okay!

I'm playing a Fey Pact Warlock.  So I should be a moderately mobile ranged striker.

I've played D&D a fair amount, everything from 2E through 5E and Pathfinder.  I played 4E tabletop regularly for about 4 years, and still get some play on RPoL.  I like PbP for the greater storytelling and RPing it offers versus tabletop.
