The context is a highschool, you had just become a senior and barely taken classes for a couple of weeks, then one morning you got a call from the school district. Due to a series of unfortunate happenings and one event in particular the previous weekend, there are adjustments to be made. All seniors in the district will be now attending Highschool 931 John Bates, and the Bus route will be changed to match. You don't know all of the details, but apparently many seniors across the district have been expelled in the previous two weeks and they are consolidating the whole generation under a single roof. You find the new school is actually quite nice looking, but oddly the yard around it is covered in snow despite the fact it is September yet. Thankfully all of your friends are still around, and the most aggressive and antisocial classmates are nowhere to be seen. So what could go wrong?, right? I need you to create a character. Give me a name and think of a background and normal abilities. Also think about what your character wants to study and goals for the future. (And what kind of oddity could your character develop...) We'll work using the window, you don't need the rules to play it. In the window all of your main abilities are tied to die sizes, the smaller the die, the better the ability. It is mostly narrative, and the die are only there to solve situations with an uncertain outcome (you roll lower than a target number). For this game, you'll need to decide the die sizes for these abilities: Strength Health Agility Knowledge Perception You pick which ones go with a d30, which ones with a d20 and one of them can be a d12 You also pick two or three skills/talents/quirks of your character. They can be d20s or d12s. (If you want to have some obvious weaknesses, add a couple of them as d30s) | |||
I'm thinking about a student that likes practicing sport (which sport, depends very much on where the school is placed: if it is US, probably it is basketball or american football, if it is Japan maybe it is baseball, if it is Brazil must be soccer, if it is England perhaps rugby, if it is Australia maybe Aussie rules, etc.) and is lazy or lacking interest for all other subjects, except for biology (with special focus on genetics...) Does this sound fine for you? would some other "special" subject work better with your concept? The student is perhaps a bit of a bully, but not too much. | |||

Ok, let's do the US. On sport it is your choice -It could be both?- I'd let you have both the agility and strength. Now we need to talk about acquaintances. Create two or three friends for Max. Just let me know names and personalities, and maybe goals for them. | |||
For friends, I will once again exploit Elysium (yes, it's a lazy day...): Frey Santiago: a sweet and careful girl, she likes studying and she wants to become a doctor. She is a nice girl, although not super gorgeous, but she doesn't show any interest for guys: right now she just wants top marks. Julio Luna: Max's best friend. A skinny guy with a roguish attitude. He likes to avoid attention and takes everything that is easy to take without big consequences. Very good at spotting things or people and great agility and sleigh of hand. Wagner "Spider" Moura: he doesn't care about literature or other similar stuff taught at school, but he's a great hacker: computers seems to have no secrets for him. He is always thinking about something else... some far fetched plan, perhaps... he is also very knowledgeable about conspiracy theories: it is not clear if he really believes them or not, but he's very up to date on the subject.
