"Hi Frey, what's that face?!? What did you say are the most interesting features of the school? Let's have a look at that!"

Re: When our school bus turns left.
"I'm useless, I'm worthless, I'm dumb..." Frey was in deep despair. "There's no point on going ahead" she was about to cry when the happy go luck girl from before approached and began trying to make her feel better. She turned to Max while still helping. "I can take it from here, go ahead!"

The other members of Max's team approached. "Hey Max!, I bet this place has a great court! Let's go see it and check if they have a basketball team."

"Yes, Frey... we are all dumb, under some point of view... you too! That's OK! I'm sure that even the Principal, under some point of view, is very dumb! Maybe on a one-to-one with you on a basketball court... let's go and find out how the facilities look like around here, right?!" Max goes on with a smile on his face, whether or not Frey follows.

Re: When our school bus turns left.
Do you want to name the members of the squad, or do you want to name them yourself?

A couple of volunteers got close to Frey, they began to talk with sympathy. "Don't worry, we all went through this. You'll feel better in no time." One of them indicated Max how to reach the basketball court.

When Max and his three teamates reached it, it was already occupied. There was half a dozen guys wearing equal Jerseys facing both the tall guy and the short kid that were looking at strangers before. There was also the bookworm, delinquent and sporty girl trio from before. They were all engaged on a three way disagreement it seemed. They had stopped talking and were now staring at each other. You could literally cut the tension with a knife.

[OOC: feel free to give names as you like :) ]
Max shrugs at the ongoing confrontation, just picks up a ball on the ground and starts playing with his friends on the part of the playground that is free, totally disregarding everybody else.

Re: When our school bus turns left.
I'll call then Kenny, Lenny and Nathan, you have a missing member that was named Oscar.

Max group began to play and throw some balls around and bounce the ball. However very quickly the guys in Jerseys approached and very angrily demanded "Stop at once! You are  desecrating the court with you feet!"

The delinquent and bookworm moved closer and the girl with them yelled. "They have the right to be here! As all of us! we take nothing from you!"

The tall guy grinned "You're wrong!, this court now belongs to us!!"

Re: When our school bus turns left.
Max doesn't give any sign he actually noticed them, but speaks loud enough for them to listen: "Usual bullshit, guys. Let's keep playing. When we came here there was nobody playing - they got interested on the court only after we were here... they can carry on doing what they were doing before... But we need to keep training or we won't be able to help the school team!" He shakes his head and executes a slam dunk.

Re: When our school bus turns left.
Wait, the system ate my last post.On Monday. Sorry

When the ball was passed, the small boy by the tall one ran quite quickly and jumped, as he quickly intercepted the ball, preventing it from reaching its target. He then began to bounce it casually. "You didn't hear my pal. Or Master Ben for you." He caught the ball "This court is now our territory!"

Re: When our school bus turns left.
"Oh! You forgot to put your flag on it and you walked away... so you lost all your rights on your territory... so unlucky! If you want, we can play a quick match! The loser will leave the court to another team willing to play... assuming somebody wants to play, of course..." Max smiles with a thumb up, and his body language doesn't show any kind of submission or fear.

Re: When our school bus turns left.
The leader of the school team also approached. "Let's make it a four way then, and when we win, none of you'll ever set foot in here again"

Then the delinquent and the nerd got next to Max. The delinquent basically hugged Max from the shoulder "Hey, hey, more like a three-way. We are on the same side, don't you think pal?" he was saying the right words, but he sounded sleazy and conniving. "We also believe that bullies don't have the right to step on the others and everybody should be friendly. What do you think man?" He actually sounded sincere.

The tall boy -Ben- then spoke "Very well, but the losers have to take an order from the winners."

Max shakes his head: "This is rubbish... So if you lose, none of you'll ever set foot in here again? Rules have to be the same both ways, you know?
We just play for 10 minutes... two teams in the court: the losing team goes out of the court and another team replaces them for 10 more minutes... and so on. That is, if you are interested on playing. If you are good enough, you can stay in the court for long time... if you are not interested in playing, just move on and let others play. Believe me: the world is big enough.
Do you want to make it five vs. five or three vs. three...?"

Re: When our school bus turns left.
The nerd by Max's side spoke again. "No need to do that, there are just two sides to this. My friends Joey, Jenny and I just want everyone to be able to play. And you just want to play. The only ones who don't want the others here are them, they only disagree on who gets to stay."

The delinquent looking guy -Joey? he didn't look like a Jenny- then took it. "I'll get it from here Johnny." He declared "My proposal. We play a single game, those who want this to be open, and those who want to exclude others. Five on Five, anything goes until we hit twenty points. If we win, you all agree to let us play and not to exclude anybody. If you guys happen to win, then we leave and you can duke it out among yourselves."

Re: When our school bus turns left.
Max looks stunned: "What?!? Hahahah... we are just 10 people willing to play basket?!? So we need each other to play! We don't have enough players to afford taking turns or excluding others!! You are crazy, guys! I'm not good at Maths, but I still can do 5+5=10!"

Re: When our school bus turns left.
The Nerd -Johnny- smiled "Man, the home team is about nine or eleven people. But you need at least one of us playing with you, because you are at least a man short" He pointed at the rest of Max's team. Then Max remembers it all, one of the regulars hadn't been seen at all that day, and the rest were juniors and sophomores so they were moved to different schools. In short, there were only three others on his team.

The leader of the home team spoke out in a defiant tone. "We don't need no help, you all can team up together and won't bea...". But the tall guy -Ben- interrupted again. "I like that, when we win, you all will follow my orders!"

Re: When our school bus turns left.
"So much talking... so few playing... I'm a bad player, I need to practice a lot my hands, not my tongue... you should become politicians..." Max makes a bored face, turns around and shoots.

[OOC: 11:07, Today: Max Da Costa rolled 10 using 1d12.  play basketball.]

Instead of talking about playing, this boring guys are playing politics... they don't care at all about practicing, but just about how to take advantage from potential wins or losses... this people is so un-fun... and losers as well...
Before we started using the court, nobody was interested in playing... and now they are still not interested in playing as well! They just want to "controoool" others. Too boring, too useless. No fun at all.
Looks like this school is not fun at all... what's the use of nice facilities if the people inside them is crap?... better a crappy playground with fun people willing to play... well I don't need anybody to have fun... my friends are more than enough...

Re: When our school bus turns left.
It becomes almost a rap rhyme as Max mumbles part to himself, pert to the bystanders, as he keeps the basketball rebounding:
"You got legs? Use them!... or lose them.
You got a head? Use it!... or lose it.
You got a court? Use it!... or lose it.
Talking a lot and doing nothing will make you lose everything...."

Re: When our school bus turns left.
The team leader felt mocked by Max's reaction of disinterest. "Milton, Fredman, you sit this out. These two will play with us. Whatever it takes to get these peasants off my court".

The short and lean but very fast kid moved and seized the ball, he was quite fast. Upon taking it, he rolled and threw it towards the center of the court. "You wanted to play, you've just got your wish."

Everybody moved to the center of the court. Max team approached and Joey moved to be by Max side. "It's your turn to jump man."

Ok, a reminder. Anything you try, roll and if you roll under 6, it is a success, if you don't, you have to beat the rolls I'll keep doing on every round. Try to roll different abilities each round.

This turn I choose the captain

Max very swiftly gets the ball: "Sorry Milord..." he mutters, as he passes it to a team mate doing the play maker and runs to take position in attack.

Re: When our school bus turns left.
Lenny masterfully caught the ball and began moving into the opposite side. He then sent a pass towards the other extreme of the court, where Joey caught it and sent a  center pass into the two point area.

But Ben approached, and he was going to apparently tackle Max.

To beat Ben's Strength 5(d8)
22:40, Today: The BunnyCat in the moon, for the NPC Ben, rolled 5 using 1d8 ((5)).

Re: When our school bus turns left.
Max knows that a frontal attack against Ben is unlikely, as Ben is much stronger than him, so, while preparing to absorb the tackle as well as he can, he immediately sends the ball with the tip of his fingers to Nathan, that has been left free outside the area as the defenders switched.

Re: When our school bus turns left.
Nathan made his shot. The ball landed nicely on the basket and scored.

Score 2 - 0

The opposition captain made a comment in a nasty tone. "Don't see you guys doing anything..." before giving the ball to one of his team. "Come on! let's do this!"

The player sent a center aimed at his other teammate.

23:30, Today: The BunnyCat in the moon, for the NPC Wing, rolled 1 using 1d12.  basketball.
