Re: The Cantina - Part Deux (OOC)

The funny thing is, if you look at the trees, Anakin didn't have much Force Rating compared to some of the Masters.  Most Specializations that give you lightsaber combat skills give you pretty much nothing for Force Rating.  xD

Plus, I'm pretty sure the Council is DEAD right now.  xP

Nah, they just downsized and are heading to their favorite desert and swampland vacation spots.

Since we have a majority vote, I will post his action tonight or early tomorrow, unless K1 has an objection before then.

No objection here - and, if we have a majority, my vote would be moot in the first place. :)

Re: The Cantina - Part Deux (OOC)

Looks like I'll have to branch to another specialization tree then. Mine doesn't have it.  I'll have to save up lots of XP then.

Re: The Cantina - Part Deux (OOC)

It will cost you less if you get one within your Career.  Or you could get one from another Career.  I've done both.  It's not terrible.

The entire Career?  Which one did you take?  Pretty sure all of them have at least one Specialization with added Force Rating.

Seeker - Pathfinder. I'm finding that he should have really have been a seer or sage with the way I am playing him. Oh well. He'll have to grow into that.

Re: The Cantina - Part Deux (OOC)

It does have Force rating. Its in the path with the animal empathy and mental bond or animal bond..

I'm looking at the F&D Beta Core Rulebook since I don't have my regular book with me at the moment, but it should be similar.

You follow the left most column,  GRIT >   KEEN-EYED  >  ANIMAL EMPATHY then you can go right to ANIMAL BOND or down to MENTAL BOND then you can access FORCE RATING from either of those two.

Ah, my eyes just passed right over it. Ugh. Well, that's good. But still, I'm feeling Den is more book smart and not so much nature smart.

Re: The Cantina - Part Deux (OOC)

For everyone:

I'm working on the clones turn and should post in a little bit, if work doesn't get in the way.

For Den:

That's up to you, it'll take a while to go through a new Specialization (cost 10x # specializations you will end up with), and under a different Career, it adds 10 more xp. So 30 just to get to the new tree, then another 70 xp to get through the tree and purchase Force Rating. Assuming you don't have talents from that tree path, it will cost 70 xp in the Seeker/Pathfinder talent tree.

Okay, post is up. The battle continues. One more PC slot is available before the clone officers take their action!

Is this officer I'm engaged with an Adversary?  Or is he part of a group?  Trying to see how I should spend my Advantages that I've rolled in my attack.

Raana will use her Reflect, reducing the damage by 4. Still an OUCH!

He is a rival, the jr. officers. They have a setback to hit them because of adversary 1 rank.

I'll wrench him with these advantages into critical hit then.  I'll go write my post.

Adversary upgrades a roll rather than adding a setback...

That’s true, Raana. Let me know what you would like me to do, GM. May have to fix my roll.

Yeah, I know. That was my mistake. I didn't get a handle on how I was going to play him until I started playing him.

In reply to Tarrin Feruwi (msg # 64) and Raana (msg # 63):

Yes, how could I forget about the Adversary upgrades to Challenge dice! How else am I going to get Despair's to play with. ;)

Yes, Tarrin. Another roll is fine. I will leave it up to you. If you want to do a total re-roll or an adjustment.

I just tried fudging a roll to see what the number actually means. So the last difficulty die can be removed, which the result was 8(D). 8 on difficulty die is 1 failure and 1 threat. So you can just roll a challenge die, and mark the differences to update.

Will do.  That's just much easier to do.  I'll be free in about three hours, so I'll adjust it then and get a post written up.

Den, there was only 1 PC slot available before the clone officers go. They are next and then you and the others can go. I will try and update tonight or tomorrow morning for the clone officers.
