"Only 2 rules as far as i see it, Dont be upset when you lose, what is a fight between friends, and No attacks with the intent to maim or kill, we are just having fun, Agreed?"
He crouches slightly, assuming a position to charge, waiting for the gatormans word of agreement

Abishai had little interest in being kicked out of the company or having a big chunk of his pay docked right as he started his new job. The trollkin was enthusiastic enough, but reckless. An asset as an ally, as long as one was able to... guide... his impulses.
"For another, does this mean you would be fine with me fighting with tooth and spell so long as no permanent harm is suffered?"
He had expected the trollkin - he'd have to ask him his name once this round was finished - to manifest some discontent upon seeing him cast a spell on himself, but he had remained quiet. In fact he had been frighteningly vague with his conditions.

NPC, 7 posts Employer Thu 7 Sep 2017 at 12:10 | Job InterviewsSuddenly, just as the Trollkin and Gatorman are squaring off, a robed figure lands between them.
"Who's the baddest in the yard? I LOVE this game." he says as his feet touch the ground, before becoming a blur of motion.
In less than a second, he grabs hold of the Trollkin, sweeps a leg under the Bokor, sending him falling to the ground as his magic fails, then proceeds to twist the Trollkins arms into a hold that takes him down to one knee.
"Nice balance," he says into the Trollkin's ear, " but his magic would have stopped you from knocking him down too."
He lets go of the Trollkin's arms, then with the grace of a cat, helps up the Bokor.
"Only way either of you would have won would have been to pummel the other to a pulp. And my staff are already busy finishing up our setup, they don't need to be cleaning up blood."
As he finishes, Liv walks out with 3 sets of forms, and a porter runs over with a table.

NPC, 6 posts Bank Teller Thu 7 Sep 2017 at 12:16 | Job Interviews"Gentlemen. Abishai has already signed his contract, so he can confirm what I'm about to summarize.
As members of this company, you will be given shelter here and a stipend of 10 crowns per week. In return, you are on call to take on jobs that we in the company executive agree to take on. You are welcome to turn down jobs, but if we think you are just trying to bum a free ride, we'll give you the boot. You are welcome to take on your own projects, but we stop paying you for your personal time.
Walk away from a mission, you forfeit your pay for it, and we consider that your personal time.
If you're still interested, sign the contract, and someone will show you to your rooms.
Otherwise, you know where the door is."

Oh yes, that's pretty much implied by the Limited Liability nature of the company.
And in the unlikely event someone who attack us, you'd be expected to help of course, but you don't really worry about the mundane things like having a watch.

Heff takes a contract and signs--there's nothing neat about his writing, but it's legibly Cygnaran. If he's leery about a company that's ready to hire a bunch of maniac adventurers right on the spot, it doesn't show.
He turns to his new comrades. "I'm Heff. Don't go in for eppy-thets or blowin' wind about myself. Don't stick a knife in my back and I'll keep a body from sticking a knife in yours."

We have a shed you can use to store tools and possibly set up a small lab. We also have a small storehouse for coal and a decent cistern for water, so we can help ensure your running costs benefit from economies of scale.
I'll take a look at our needs and let you know if any alchemical needs come up.

Escort Required
An armed escort is required for a two way transaction. You are to deliver a small, but fragile package to Fillion Alanik in Ternon Crag, and return with a parcel in exchange.
Pay is 10gc per day per person, with a small bonus of 25-50gc per person if the mission is completed in 8-10 days.

player, 13 posts Friends On The Other Side Voodoo Witch-Doctor Mon 11 Sep 2017 at 18:21 | New Job postedAbishai shrugged and started explaining the contents to Brathgar.
"It is an escort mission. Heavily armed deliverymen."
At first glance it would be a boring undertaking. Of course, if one of his main sources of information on human civilization was to be believed (dime novels), then odds were good they'd encounter some danger along the way. Which made sense, otherwise they wouldn't have asked to armed courriers.
"A small, fragile package must be taken to Ternon Crag and another parcel taken back here."
The 'fragile' part of the parcel might be a problem if the armed part of the job description came to be relevant. Odds were that broken goods would negatively affect their pay. Speaking of pay -
"Pay is 10 gold crowns per day. That's per person, like I think is usual here. There is bonus if it's done in 8 to 10 days - goes from 25 to 50 gold crowns."
So... If they did the whole thing in 10 days that'd earn them at least 125 gold crowns each. Not too shabby. And if they encountered trouble then he'd have a nice snack that would reduce the need to consume his rations.

He speculates for a moment about whether he'd be able to manage it himself, quiet-like. Better not to suggest it, and much better to have some of the big'uns about when trouble shows. "Fragile package is a real hazard in th'wilds, surely. I'm up for it though. You lot'll need somebody to keep you situated and scout an' such."
The farrow glances at the gobber. "You got enough fuel to march that clanker all the way to Ternon Crag an' back?"

player, 7 posts Alchemist & Bodger Handy with a wrench! Sat 16 Sep 2017 at 11:28 | New Job postedOnce Liv explained the situation with Wikka being able to use the shed, he nodded, before looking down at the contract and signing it.
"I've had to make do with worse places to set myself up, so this suit my needs. And again, if you do think of any alchemical mixtures you need, please ask." Wikka said, handing the contract back.
Once outside, Wikka saw the advert, and had no trouble reading it unlike the hulking trollkin.
When the farrow asked if he had enough fuel for Smoker, Wikka shrugged. "Depends how much we can bring and how much we do a day. Ol' Smoker can run for eight hours on a full load, or fight for an hour and a half. But that's fifty pounds of coal and two-hundred and fifty pounds of water, a day. And we don't know how many days it will take to get there and back. If I can get fuel out there, we should be okay. If not, well Smoker is over three tons of weight and whilst he can get in a wagon, it won't make for a good journey."
