Lindria pauses for a few minutes as if considering the creature's "offer".  After a moment, she turns to her companions. "I don't see a problem with this deal. I'm pretty sure we'll drop at least a body or two..."

Once again the creature manages to speak to all three of your mind's at once, "Hehehe! Then we agree. You kill, I eat."

The creature turns his attention toward Lindria again and points toward the nearby stairwell to the west, his hand motions first toward the south, then to the north of the stairwell.

Torg, still feeling uneasy by the creature's gaze moves toward the stairway to the west, both chisel and mallet at the ready to bash some read guard skulls.

The creature takes a step back as Torg moves to head down the hall. As Torg stands at the top of the stairs he can see that there's a door on the left at the base of the stairwell down below, and then another hallway directly across from it that heads to the north.

Torg pauses at the door, makes a perception check to see if he notices anything peculiar about the door (used the dice roller but still not sure how to post that here) to the south and gets closer to the door to see if he can hear any voices within.

Kaynox grows bored waiting by the doorway. She slips around Lindria and huddles against the wall, giving the creature a leery eye. Assured it wasn't going to eat her, she dashes to catch up to Torg, interested in what he is doing.

Lindria nods to the creature and moves quickly to join her companions. She whispers, "Goblins in the south room and Redguards in the north." She peers at the door and walls, trying to decide if combat in one room might alert the occupants of the other.

18:28, Today: Lindria Lorlach rolled 8 using 1d20+5.  Perception.

Torg is able to hear gruff voices from inside. There seems to be at least two, maybe three, different voices speaking and there is a higher pitched voice that seems to be more whimpering than talking.

Kaynox does her best to listen for activity in the room, but for some reason she keeps having a nursery rhyme pop into her head and she just can't help but sing it softly to herself, "Daddy finger? Daddy finger, where are you? Here I am! Here I am! How do you do?"

Lyndria checks the two doors to see if fighting in one might draw the attention of the other. The doors appear to be solid wood and of good quality; not surprising considering this was once the home of nobles. Whether or not sounds might carry through, she's not certain. However, she does hear a pattern of an odd rattling sound followed by shouts and growns, and then chatter. The nature of the noises makes it hard to tell how many are within, but she guesses 3-5.

"We're in luck, friends. Both groups sound quite distracted. I think it might be a good plan to clear out the goblins in the southern room first. The racket they're making is fairly indistinguishable from the sounds of combat already. What do you think?"

Kaynox agrees with Lindria. "Goblin music sounds so... strange." She begins to stretch. "Will I get to jump around? My fingers itch."

The group prepares to rush into the room, following Lindria's lead. She steps up to the door with Torg behind her, and she does a countdown with her fingers, 3.. 2.. 1.

Lindria flings the door open and steps into the room, quickly taking count of the situation, "Three bugbears, one goblin!" Knowing that goblins often win what few encounters they do through superior numbers, she decides the small goblin in the far corner shall be her first target...except that the moment he sees her enter the room, the little goblin faints, his face planting itself firmly on the stone floor.

Lindria pivots, grabs the hilts of her swords and pulls them from their sheaths as she spins around and utilizes that momentum for her initial attack.

Everyone roll your Initiative (d20+X). Your Initiative modifier is near the top of your Character Details page, to the right of your HP, and it's abbreviated as "Init". Kay and Lindria both have +3 and Torg has +2.

You managed to surprise the goblins, which means you all get a free round of actions before the goblins even roll their initiative. During a surprise round, you all have Advantage on your attack rolls, which means when you roll for your attack, you'll make your attack rolls twice and take the higher of the 2 rolls.

On the dice roller you can either do that by checking the box for "Record each die", entering a "1" into the box next to "Drop lowest", or by using the Manual dice entry in the top right corner like this "1d20+5,1d20+5" replacing the 5 with whatever your bonus to attack rolls actually is. You can also find the information for your weapons on your character sheet, near the middle. Attack rolls are done with d20's, damage is based on your weapon or spell. If a spell asks for a saving through, you don't need to roll an attack.

Lindria is slightly thrown off by the fainting goblin and she takes a moment to shake her head. Something to think about after dealing with the stunned, but very much awake bugbears in the room. She thrusts vigorously with both weapons toward the bugbear against the east wall.

Initiative roll: 15:53, Today: Kaynox rolled 5 using 1d20+3 ((2)).

Kaynox trips into the room just enough to see better, barely fumbling her dagger from her belt, and casts Vicious Mockery at Lindria's bugbear. "Oh ugly monstrous being, eat pain!"

16:05, Today: Kaynox rolled 7 using 2d4+5, dropping the highest dice only with rolls of 4,2.
(Kaynox laughs as she redoes her spell, dropping the lowest dice this time (2) so her total would be 9 instead)  She shouts at the bugbear, "You look like sick goblin scat that came to life!"

After Vicious Mockery disappeared into the abyss, Kaynox remembered that she had to direct the spell better.

(the real dice roll) 22:10, Today: Kaynox rolled 14 using 2d20+5, dropping the lowest dice only ((9,8)).

She shouts, "Even your dinner thinks you're disgusting!" at the bugbear.

13:37, Today: Psynister rolled 6 using 1d20+2.  Monster Initiative.

Lindria rushed through the door and proceeded to assault the furthest bugbear. Her first sword sank into the creatures stomach and as he leaned forward grasping for breath her second sword shot up through its chin and into its brain. The bugbear's body shook with a spasm for a short second before he fell dead to the floor. Crit damage was an extra 6 for 16 total, Bugbear 3 is dead

Meanwhile Torg moved to the first bugbear and plunged his chisel into the beast's collarbone, then brought the hammer down and drove the chisel clean through. The bugbear staggered back in shock before a look of hatred filled his eyes. The creature remained standing, but blood was pouring from the wound. 14 damage to Bugbear 1

Seeing that Lindria had already brought an end to her target, Kaynox redirected her magical assault towards helping Torg. As she calls out mocking words heavily bleeding creature raises his hand to its head, it's eyes glaze, and the creature falls to the ground with blood leaking out of its ears.

As the final bugbear gets his bearings, he turns to face Torg nearly eye-level with the abnormally large human, a jeweled eyepatch covering his left eye, and his lips part into a cruel smile as he reaches for a mace at his side. "Mosk gonna crush you."

Torg strikes out with his chisel, but the bugbear deflects it with a swipe of his morningstar. One blow was all he could manage to block though, as the mallet then connected with the beast's shoulder. 4 damage

Lindria rushed toward the bugbear as well, stabbing with both of her blades. The first was caught in the tangle of weapons between Torg and Mosk, but the second struck true and pierced the bugbear's abdomen. 6 damage

Mosk powered through the clash of weapons and swung the spiked mace at Torg's head. The large man manages to move his head out of the way, hearing the air whoosh over his head. Miss

Kaynox leaves the large beast to her capable friends and rushes over to the unconscious goblin. She shoves the tip of the sword through the goblin's nose, into it's brain, and jiggles it around a bit for good measure. Limbs twitched as she did so, and then never more. Goblin's super dead. Critically failed his death save

Torg tried to take advantage of the bugbear's eyepatch blocking some of its vision, but to no avail. As large as this creature was, he moved almost as fluidly as Lindria, bobbing and weaving away from the man's attacks. both miss

Lindria managed to land one solid blow, delivering a sting that managed to slide between two of the creature's ribs that caused him to gasp and clutch at the wound. 6 damage

Mosk realized the threat of the smaller woman and sought to end her instead. With an incredible roar the bugbear swung his morningstar at Lindria. The ferocity and unanticipated agility of the thing caught her off guard and the spiked mace stabbed into her sided and drove the air from her lungs. Hit AC 19, 12 damage

Kaynox shouted, "You're as cuddly as a cactus!" Though the little gnome was sure that it was a great insult that would sting the beast to his very soul, it seemed almost as if he hadn't even heard her. Critical Success on his save, no damage or effect
