If we're low on Pre-gens, or others want to play those characters, I could try my hand at character creation. I mentioned the game to a buddy and he was kind enough to share his PDF with me until I can get a hardcopy.

Full character sheet tomorrow.

Name: Erik Stamell

Background:
He started his career as a Navy Seal then moved over to Naval Intelligence. Eventually, he left 'active' service and worked for the CIA as a freelance agent. Over the years he has become more and more disillusioned with the government of the USA while retaining his love of the ideals that he believes were the foundation of the country.

He's in his early 50's but still in good physical condition. While he is slower than before, his experience makes up for it - at least so far. He is an expert in melee combat both armed and unarmed. While he can use firearms, he prefers to avoid them as they draw too much attention.

Smith, again, as I said in PM, I like it. I like that he's disillusioned by the realities. Is he idealistic (the world CAN'T live up to his desired reality) or are people just disappointing (the world CAN live up to the reality but chooses not do)? You don't have to answer, just thinking about it.

For all: Smith has been renamed "Erik Stamell."

Are you all able to edit your character details? Do we want to do that? I wonder, do you guys want or need to see everyone else's complete character sheet? Or would you rather just discover the mechanical parts during play? (I'll obviously need access to the complete sheets.) It might be easier for everyone just to focus on their own.

Totally agree, character sheets should be between the gm and the player.

I am currently unable to edit my own sheet as I don't have the option in character details if that is what you are asking. I do have the option to edit description, biography, etc, the stuff that is usually available.

Ok. So it sounds like the options available to you are the norm for RPOL. Let me know if there are setting tweaks to make to the Game Area that perhaps I'm unaware of.

I prefer a character sheet under Character Details, but a Character Description that presents the character as she/he looks, sounds, acts, etc.

Would anyone want to make a trade of 6 General Skill points for 2 Investigative Skill points? The extra 6 General Skill points would let me focus on my physical skills while you would get 2 extra Investigative Skill points.

For all of you with pre-gens, you could add 6 bubbles/points to your general skills. In turn, you would permanently cross off two bubbles/points from your Investigative Skills.

Erik's discussing an optional rule that can help knit teams together (Trading Points, NBA/p9).

(Erik, if no one takes you up on this, we could rule that you just drop the two Investigative points and get your six general.)

We still have the pregen Mace Hunter and Hung-He. I don't know if any of our other characters have Digital Intrusion/computer type skills. So we may want someone to pick up Hung-He.

In NBA(Night's Black Agents) it can be helpful to have a well-rounded team (e.g., a driver, a cuckoo or social infiltration agent, a hacker, etc.). You don't have to, but it sure can help!

Ender, you could add those abilities to your character. At this point, it looks like we'll have enough pregens also.

I think I'm ready to start with the first in-game post tomorrow. There are a few other housekeeping things for us to decide, which I'll post tonight also.

Think we'll be ready to go people? :)

Nothing pops out at me as broken. Looks like you're the man to do the talking with all of the languages!

The character sheet only supports text. I hosted images for your sheet on Imgur and then linked to it from the character page.

I'm going to try to find time to do that with the rest of the sheets today. Guys, if I'm not able to, you can just access your sheet through "Game Links" and go to the pre-gens.

***Dice roller***

I'm thinking we can use RPOL's dice roller for all our dicing needs. :) In NBA, you only ever roll 1d6.

Here I'm thinking you can just roll a d6, note the result in your post where you needed to roll, and note any point spends (Each point spent is +1 to your roll on the d6).

We can decide if we want to include "Reason for roll" as this might help looking through the dice log in the future. We can also decide if we want to include the modifiers (for example, for the spends to get +1 or +2 or whatever) in the dice roller calculation, or if we just want to handle that in our posts.

I made a few minor changes to my Abilities. Just wanted to expand his training slightly.

One thing, we should make sure all of the Investigative Abilities are covered.

Erik, I'm thinking we should have everything covered with the pre-gens and you. I'll take a quick glance through. If we don't have them covered, that might make for some interesting gaps for a savvy Director to exploit! :)
