Social Contract
Here we can briefly and explicitly discuss our expectations of one another.

I'm thinking...
PbP structure: 1 post/day.
Predictive posting (anticipate a step forward).

Post length minimum? (1 paragraph?)

IC/OC thread or just OC caption?
I kinda of like keeping the mechanics on the same page (in OC caption) so that we all get to see how the game mechanics and narrative interact.

Need a break? RL getting in the way? Please be proactive! Notify us!

Should someone (GM or other PC) play the character in person's absence... or are they "quantum" disappear/reappear?

Other issues you think we should address?

Start the game date target? Wednesday?

Sorry, not as eloquently written as usual, lol; posting from phone.

I can post once per day during the week, I'm unable to post on weekends. Speaking of which, this Thursday and Friday I will be off-line in addition to the normal weekend. Sorry.

If I can't post, I don't have a problem with the GM making a post for me.

In reply to Smith (msg # 2):

That sounds good to me.

I believe I'll be able to post once daily. Depending on what others reply, perhaps we'll have weekends off or I can use the weekends to do wrap-ups or introduce new material.

Pretty much agree with everything said so far, including the weekends off if we are posting every week day.

GM should take over a pc if they are absent, less arguing that way.

Game start date on Wednesday sounds good to me but I have a pre-made character. Don't know how long the character creation process is but I can't imagine it would take more than a couple days.

Is posting daily too much? I'd rather be realistic than idealistic. If not, great. If yeah, we can discuss other frequencies.

Re: Social Contract
Normally, I can check in every day, but there will be times when work and family take priority over fun -- not often since I'm mostly retired with no kids at home. Weekends sometimes get a bit busy.

Rather than just not posting, I'm a fan of the placeholder post when I don't see a way for my character to advance the story:

Quinn lets Gabriella work at persuading the men, but he keeps a close eye on the hunchback and his hand on his pistol.

I like OC as part of the IC post with an OoC thread for chatting. I also like an Absences thread for everyone to notify anticipated absences, at least when they're more than a day or so.

I favor GM running characters during absences.

I am alright with GM making all rolls or some rolls or no rolls.

Wednesday is okay with me, if everyone's ready enough.

Re: Social Contract
That all sounds reasonable to me. Due to the unpredictable nature of my job I might occasionally miss a day, but that should be an exception and not the norm. In that case feel free to puppet my character in any way to keep the story moving.

I have a character concept in the works and should be able to flesh it out by Wednesday to start play.

I'm generally on that schedule myself pretty good for 5x a week but not sure I can manage all 7, weekends get pretty hectic

Alright all! Sounds like we have a schedule!

M-F - one post
S-S - off! :)

If we know we'll be away, we can post to the Absences thread. You could leave general sort of AI instructions here ("Max will keep attempting to support Sven by providing him overwatch as he infiltrates the junkyard.") and I could try to work it in.

If you drop off the grid (please don't! :) ), I'll try to run the character or sideline them with some task that would be helpful for the group. Maybe even group input on what the character should be doing can be worked in.

If you have to withdraw from the game, please just let me know so I can provide some in-story planning to account for it.

Thanks, all! I'm excited.
