Character Creation

This is a Gestalt Pathfinder game, where virtually any class, combination of classes, multiclassing, etc are available and allowed. This game was created so that players could play characters they rarely or never get to play in other games. So have fun! Go all out!

Ability Points-
Roll 4d6, drop lowest. Reroll 1's. If you have incredibly low points, message the GM to discuss options. Generally though as long as the majority of your stats are above 9, you're stuck with the results.

Level-
Players start at level 8 or below.

Wealth-
We will be using the PC wealth by level chart found here at this link below.
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/character-advancement/

Skills-
We will be using the background skills house rule.
https://www.d20pfsrd.com/skills/background-skills/

Feats-
We will be using the Feat Tax House Rule, which takes away the need for several Feats in order to allow for players to play characters they would rather play, and choose feats they want to actually use.

Race-
All characters can be built with 18 race points. You may choose a prebuilt race and add/remove rp features to get to 18, or play a race who does not have 18rp.

You may also choose to build your own unique race, here's a handy link below.

Player Versus Player Encounters

This is not a PvP focused game. However, I am not banning PvP combat or actions. This world is open and has a sandbox nature to it. However, I will not allow players who do not wish to engage in PvP action to be forced into combat with another player. That said, if both players agree, have at it!

Should an issue arrive between two characters, that would be sorted out through combat by one player but the other does not wish to engage in combat, I ask the players to find a way to respectfully and cordially come to an agreement on how there characters might solve the issue without PvP.

A thread designed for "Arena" style combat is being set up, where players can engage in Non Lethal and Lethal combat, the thread will not be real time, so a player can be questing and fighting in the arena at the same time.

Languages

The Common language has been reduced to a basic rudimentary form of communication. Players cannot use common to persuade or otherwise use social skills on another character. They must speak the same language.

Human has been added as a skill, and is automatically granted to Human characters. Common is still available to everyone.

Reverted back to regular PF common/language rules.

Technology and Firearms

The game has some steampunk elements to it, meaning flying ships that use rotors, robots, and guns are all a part of the world. Technology is powered through various means, including magic. However, it is not very advanced because the majority of people stick to magic to get things done, and technology is seen as primitive and not needed. Some however, know that technology one day could overpower even magic and continue to develop and explore technology.

Firearm Rulings-
Firearms-

Firearms are chamber-loaded. It is a move action to load a one-handed or two-handed advanced firearm to its full capacity. The Rapid Reload feat reduces this to a free action.

When firing a firearm, the attack resolves against the target’s touch AC when the target is within the first range increment of the weapon, but this type of attack is not considered a touch attack for the purposes of feats and abilities such as Deadly Aim. At higher range increments, the attack resolves normally, including taking the normal cumulative –2 penalty for each full range increment. Unlike other projectile weapons, firearms have a maximum range of five range increments.

Crafting

Characters may not craft any items before the game starts. However, feel free to save some of your starting gold for crafting purposes later...:-)
