Oakhurst - The Ol' Boar Inn
This is a sprawling single-story thatch-roofed wooden building with 5 randomly placed roughly hewn wooden tables and benches. A fake boar's head hangs over the hearth. A recently erased and re-written sign hangs beside the bar that reads:

Accommodations:

5 wooden cots in the basement - 1g each night
Blanket - 10g

An old male halfling sleeps upright behind the bar, his head leaning against a tall growler. The bar is otherwise empty from what you can currently see.

I can get grand accommodations in Waterdeep for the price of a cot and a blanket in this little hovel of a village!?!?  Looks like it's another night in a tent.

Baddywhick takes a closer look around the room to see if there is any sign of recent patronage to this establishment.  Then walks up to the sign and examines it to see if he can determine what was written on it before it was erased.

"Well now, this place looks...forgotten and then hastily remembered.  Not sure that a drink is going to be worth the price it is scaled the same as those cots."

After that, Baddywhick walks up to the bar and stands in front of the old halfling, crosses his arms and smiles.

The halfling's head slips from the growler and smashes against the bar top.

"Whaaawaazzzat?" he blurts, eyes darting around the tap room. His eyes finally catch Baddywhick through the sleepy haze and squint.

"Hang on..." the halfling says with a raised pointer finger and throws up into the growler.

"Ok. Better. How can I help?"

"Ah goodman halfling.  I see you are in good spirits this...afternoon, and I was wondering if you were interested in a business proposition?"

Baddywhick places a single gold piece on the counter, leaving his finger firmly planted in the center of the coin.

"My companion and I are searching for the midsummer apple, or information on its whereabouts.  Perhaps you know something about it?  Or perhaps you can be of assistance in determining it's location?  I'd pay handsomely for knowledge of its where abouts."

Baddywhick makes a show of looking around the room taking in the slapdash appearance.  Then returns his gaze to the coin under his finger.  It begins to sparkle slightly, as if it were magical in nature.

"It appears you have fallen on rough times.  I am sure that this business contract I am offering is more income than you see in several weeks."

The halfling removes the growler from the bar top and places it under the bar.

"A bit presumptuous to assume we don't have patrons here," the halfling says between pursed lips, swatting Baddywhick's hand and delusions from the coin. You hear the sound of a zipper as the halfling quickly pockets the coin.

The halfling's upper lip curls as you hear the sound of the growler filling beneath the bar.

"You want the apple, eh? Goblins sold one in this town already. Gonna have to find one of those bastards."
