at 17:58 | Oakhurst - Healer's hutThe interior of this simple single-story thatch-roofed hut is dimly lit by the light of scattered candles of various sizes. A short female dwarf sits quietly, her head tilted down into a large open tome. The walls are lined with bundles of herbs and roots, flasks and jars filled with liquids and minerals of every color, and even a few jars filled with something that may or may not be a living creature of some sort. The dwarf is flanked in her chair by two 3-foot candles that, from the top down, are broken up into 1 foot red colored, 1 foot green colored, and one foot black colored.
The dwarf looks up. "Hello, traveler! I have a number of items to heal what ails ye. I'm currently having a particularly good sale on a special mineral water whose chalybeate properties will increase the imbiber's size incredibly!" (Casts Enlarge Person - 2 quaffs)

With a *snap* of her fingers, the tome claps its iron-clasped covers together with a thud. As she scoots herself from the chair, the tome drifts to a vacant slot in a small library tucked up into the rafters. She sets her gaze on the register and immediately appears behind it, polishing a glass vial filled with a shimmering liquid.
"Buy one for 1 gold and get one free!"

Xalwin places the coins directly in her hand with a smile; Vera bows her head and hoots in gratitude.
"Many thanks, m'dear. These will certainly come in handy should the need arise. Speaking of which, the previously mentioned company and I are here on a bit of an uncommon errand. You see, I am the apprentice to the head archivist at Blackstaff Academy and it is my duty to recover loaned Academy property that is not returned on schedule. One of the delinquents on my list had quite the interest in botany and was last seen leaving Waterdeep on the road leading to Oakhurst. I was making preparations to set out with a small party when we encountered an intriguing merchant at the Tawning Yortal who was in possession of a wondrous rarity, a Midsummer Apple. It just so happened that she said she acquired it here, in Oakhurst. Unfortunately, she also mentioned that Goblins were involved, might you know anything that could aid me in my search?"
