Re: [OOC] Out of Character
Oh!  That would make sense.  Much more than, like, "Best Psalm", or, "#1 Proselytizer!", which are what I was picturing.

Ah, that makes more sense! Thanks for the input, Peter.

Re: [OOC] Out of Character
sigh

Now I want a "#1 Prosletyzer" medal, though.  Maybe I can start the Faith Olympics.  We'll have Synchronized Singing, Psalolm Skiing, Beach Prayer... it'll be awesome.

Do you suppose people will still want to compete if they know it was organized by an atheist?

Are you saying you are faithless?

Re: [OOC] Out of Character
An ... atheist? In the 1930's? Wow, this should make for some interesting conversations in character - if it is the character that is the non-believer.   :)

I expect she is a strong believer, just not in the accepted ways...

Well, I meant me.  I'm not quite sure Patience has the clout to organize a new Olympics.

I suppose I don't, either.  Hmph.

Re: [OOC] Out of Character
I'd like to think I'm an atheist ... either that or a reallllllllllllllly lapsed Catholic. (Actually, I prefer the term "Recovering Catholic", but that's a whole other story)

Still, snicker when I pass the Welch's grape juice at the store.  :P

I'm not sure Patience has the patience to organize the Olympics. ;)

Aside, I'm hoping to post today, but (in theory) I leave for China on Monday night/ Tuesday morning. That "in theory" part in looking like "in fantasy land," however 'cause I'm still waiting on documents from the Chinese government. Either way, I should probably pack at some point.

Re: [OOC] Out of Character
Good luck!!

Patience doesn't know enough about this sort of thing to make logistical requests, but she would like to ask Preston a little more about this "Lecoq" person once he's not right around.  Who is he?  Is he like a professional rival?  And who's that Bearne chap?

Nicely questioned. I was wondering if anyone was going to question that. I'll post some answers regarding this later in the week.

   - She beat me to it, no thanks to some severe weather here. Nice thought to ask in the first place, tho. Hopefully, Sir Preston can give us some answers in the coming moments

I'll be out of town all next week. May have some net access. May not. Try not to get me mummy cursed.

Re: [OOC] Out of Character
I, for one, am merely concerned with roleplaying Peter appropriately in his player's absence.  He just seems like the sort of gentleman who would, frankly, insist on opening the doors for us, doesn't he?

Doors and mummy coffins, definitely. ;)

I'll be posting ASAP. Bad news on the job front, so ... yeah. I'll post as soon as I can.

I'm almost positive we told you to have good luck.  Why does no one ever listen?

Seriously - sorry to hear it's not going well.

Sorry to hear that the Job Success Roll didn't work in your favour, GM.  Looks like our good wishes didn't' get you the modifier you were looking for. We'll have to work harder on that.  :)

As Patience has mentioned, sorry to hear that all's not going your way.

Don't take it personally, you never know why someone is picked. You just have to keep trying. I know in all my years of job hunting.
