Act I, Scene X: Everybody Else
Margarita took her time moving through the city. When she was certain that she wasn't being followed nor tracked, she drove towards the apartment where she and her family were staying while in town. The thunderstorm slowed her progress to a crawl. By the time she got home, the sun had set. At least the storm quieted into an unimpressive steady rain. The apartment was dark due to a block-wide power outage, and candles were burning inside.

Meanwhile, Sam was settling into an all-nighter of work to get his new design built. Charlie had to take apart some of the plumbing to secure the last few pieces of copper required. The structure was going to be mystically secure, but physically -- that remained to be seen. Charlie queried, "Sammy, is your prisoner going to be completely immobilized while inside this contraption? We supernatural creatures are strong even without our magics, and I could break through these bars without hardly trying."

What is Da'mon up to?

Act I, Scene X: Everybody Else
Sam looks up at Charlie with a raised brown and a smirk on his face. “ Ah, I have no idea if this will actually work or not, “ Sam says with a chuckle. “ Theoretically a supernatural creature should not be able to even touch the markings when they are energized, similar to the way vampires are held at by from a cross... Before we go I’ll try to look into the future just in case. But now that you bring it up, you are very strong and flexible. “ Sam turns to face Charlie and smiles widely, “ You would be a good test for immobilization methods.” He nods and continues. “ I was thinking we can tie this night prince up with high strength synthetic rope… Like all rope, the strength increases with each winding and the rope is stronger than a steel cable. It can be cut relatively easily so we will see if you can claw your way out of it. We should be able to pick that up at an outdoor or boating store, which should be open relatively early in the morning… As far as how to actually tie the prisoner up will take a bit of research.“  Sam pauses for a moment and then continues, “ Some fairly kinky research, probably...  “

Sam then scratches his head and says, “ Otherwise, some standard mage restraint just in case. A cloth bag over the head to blind it. I don’t know if that will help with the illusion powers but at least it won’t be able to see... I’d gag it but I think they want to ask it questions. “ Sam crosses his arms and taps his chin as he thinks of any other things that come to mind that could help.

Act I, Scene X: Everybody Else
Since no one thought to ask if anyone else wanted to go along and view the target residence, and everyone else had left him pretty much all to himself, Da'mon checked with Asha to see if it was all right to stay on the barge until he was needed.  The reason was twofold: the first was, he already came prepared, so there was no need to go anywhere else.  The second was, it would be easier to contact him here plus, it would most likely take less time to get where he needed to be from the barge.

Act I, Scene X: Everybody Else
Margarita enters their apartment and closed the door behind her. She slips her assault Rifle from under her rain coat and calls out.

"Mi Familia, I am Home. I need to talk with you all."

With that she walks to a table and sits down. Soon her familia joins her. She explains the situation to them.

Act I, Scene X: Everybody Else
Sam
Sam and Charlie have little trouble securing all of the supplies that his plan requires. This includes finding more than enough high strength cord for sale. Early tests using Charlie as the test subject look promising.

In Sam's research materials, he finds a lot of theory regarding the Night Princes but not a lot of confirmed facts. Charlie reminds him that there is an ongoing debate about whether Night Princes are less power Nightlords or an entirely different species. One important detail is made clear: the Night Princes generate illusions by mental command. Their particular brand of magic requires neither speech of magic words, hand motions, nor physical tools. These illusions have be recorded on video thus strongly suggesting that the power is not a form of telepathy but a magic effect on the light and sound of the physical world. It is not a limitless power, however, as it clearly requires a large amount of magic energy to generate or maintain the illusions. Not all Night Princes are equal. Some possess much larger reserves of internal energy than others, and some are more talented at generating convincing illusions than others. Some sources site a long held rivalry between Night Princes and Sowki, demonic creatures who also rely upon illusions, but the Night Princes are clearly the more skillful illusion-crafters of the two factions. Lastly, his research materials include some promising work with sigils which were developed in the Far East and used for summoning a Night Prince; the material should be useful in crafting wards which affect specifically a Night Prince but for the purpose of disempowering her.

Sam's sources on the Nightlands are curiously silent on the subject of Night Princes.

Da'mon
Da'mon is welcome to remain on the barge for as long as he likes. Asha is going to remain also but intends to get some rest during the night. The agent will remain only long enough for the storm to pass, and then he is going to evacuate to his own safe house for the remainder of the night. During the evening, Da'mon will have plenty of time to drill his two informants for any more information that might occur to him to ask -- or just relax and have some deep conversations about the Factions, Dark Day, and life in general.

Asha has some military-style packed away and a lot of candles.

Margarita
The warrior explains all that she knows about the upcoming mission to her family. William thinks that it seems like a good opportunity. He only asks that if the target gets killed, that he be given a chance to examine the body. Mitzi is more skeptical. She worries about all of the unknowns. Mitzi asks something.

"I want to come along. At least, I want to be there when you first enter this safe house. I want to get a good look at whatever sort of security system they have set up there. If you want, I can do whatever needs doing and leave before this Princess shows up and the prize fight begins."

Act I, Scene X: Everybody Else
Sam reviews the information and updates the plans. He sits back, furrows his brow, and says “ Never enough time. There is a good chance this will go south and fast. We will need a getaway plan or two...

Firing up the furnace, Sam gets to work purifying the metal and welding it together. He bends the metal where it is needed and reinforces it enough to secure someone inside, putting a few hasps opposite the hinges. Also he attaches a valve in order to, hopefully, direct the ectoplasm into a container or area. Once the structure is complete he begins to ritually etch he arcane markings into the metal covering the surface with a variety of symbols.  As he creates the intricate markings, he glances at the clock from time to time.

Act I, Scene X: Everybody Else
Margarita looks over William with a smile.

"You mean hopefully I am able to capture her alive. I know you too well Mi Papi. If She is truly me then She will fall for you like I did. You are a better part of me as we are soulmates. If she is dead then she cannot answer questions. That and we will have a harder time figuring out how she was created."

She then kisses her husband on the lips. When she breaks the kiss she holds an arm out for Mitzi. Taking her best friend in her arm she enjoys the intimacy of the embrace.

"Mitzi, Hermana, Are you sure you want to go? I do not want to risk you if I don't have to. Your position here is important, gathering and interpreting information allows me to fight the enemy better. You are good at finding out what is important to strike at and where i am most needed. If you think that this is that Important than I will act as your bodyguard for this mission.

Mitzi relents. She feels convinced by Margarita to remain behind. She cautions, "Just call me if you see any hint of electronic security. I will walk you through what to do next, okay?"

"Ok, Mi hermana." Margarita says. She then rubs noses with Mitzi. William gets a kiss on the lips.

Breaking the embrace she then asks.

"So what should I bring for this job as I don't know what I will be facing and if she is like me she will be a dangerous threat?"

She then gets out her body armor.

"I'm thinking my M1911 and the Colt Commando*. I would bring my M79 but I don't have any HE grenades at the moment and the ranges would be too short to arm them anyways.</blue>"

Act I, Scene X: Everybody Else
Mitzi suggests some blades or garrote wire. Gunfights inside of city limits tend to bring police, so these loud weapons should maybe be used as backups. William offers some silver ammo just in case the monsters turn out to be something unexpected or new; it's curious how many different species of creeps are vulnerable to silver weaponry.

"Swords are good. I sort of already have the garrotes" Margarita comments.

She takes a couple magazines of Silver ammunition. While she is good with hand to hand ranged attacks helped.

She then kisses her lover and her best friend. Leaving them behind she heads off to the stakeout.
