I have only once been in a wedding party where I was expected to wear a tux. For my own wedding, I wore a plain suit. But then , my wife and I were older when we married, and did not feel obliged to put on an elaborate wedding.

We were younger when we got married, so we went all out. I swear I would rather pay my daughters to just elope. Cheaper for their dad. :)

In Response to what Joseph said, he is right, people from Spain are not considered Hispanic. They don't have a lot of the other blood of the south American natives or Africans mixed it. As a government worker, people from Spain are just considered white. Actually the odd thing is, so are Brazilians, who a descendants of Portugal, thus not Hispanic.

I am back from Pennsic and resuming gaming.

Actually, many Brazilians tend  to be African, as it had a huge slave population. I understand that historically, if not presently, many other Latin Americans despised Brazilians for that reason.

I will be away from early Friday morning (9/28) to late Sunday afternoon (9/30). I probably will not post again till Sunday evening, though there is a chance the places I am staying will have Internet access.

If all goes well, I will be in London for the next two weeks doing research. The B&B where I stay does have computer access, so I hope to be in touch, but it may not be as frequently as usual. I will be travelling tomorrow (Saturday Feb.16) so the next time I check in will probably be Sunday evening London time.

I am safe in London, and my RPOL password still works on my B&B's computer, so we are in business.

I have noticed that there are players in several games I am in who seem to report the same experiences OOC. I suppose it may mean there is a natural overlap among players who like certain kinds of games.

Tomorrow (Sunday March 3) I am scheduled to be travelling back to the US, so I probably will not be posting again until I reach home. Since the prediction is wind and rain in London when I am supposed to leave and 4 -6 inches of snow in Pittsburgh when I am supposed to arrive, I am by no means confident my flights will be on schedule, or even existent. I hope to post by Monday, but I may be optimistic.

I got as far as Pittsburgh Sunday and waited there because  a big snow storm was supposed to becoming through --in fact, it was not as bad as predicted, so I came home today and should be posting normally hereafter.

Hello, I thought I should introduce myself before joining your merry band. I will be playing Arthur Russel a newly retired military surgeon and member of the aristocracy. Very much looking forward to joining you in the game.

Welcome, Arthur. I look forward to playing with you. Since your character is described as an aristocrat,I wondered if he was kin to the great Whig family that produced the Victorian prime minister Lord John Russell, but I notice you spell the name with only one "l," so I suppose Arthur belongs to a different noble house.

No sorry that was my fault and yes it is the same family. Thanks for the welcome.

GM could I get another "l" added to Arthur's last name. Thank you.
