Are the vampires going to attack again after my failed attack, or should I play?

Also, is there anything near where they are taking cover that is potentially volatile/explosive? (Because of the wreckage). Think Red Barrel in old FPS games.

There is 1/4 cover if you go prone. The terrain of the lunar surface. (Outcropping and stone). Yes, They are "Holding their Attack" trying to gauge their combat options. Smart enemies game philosophy and all.

Nothing explosive per se but there is a 35% chance you could hit something that is. Roll 2D10 and roll under to find something to shoot at that will blow.

Correct. You and Baelek must find a way to defeat the vamps. It might be meta but the GM will let you on in a secret. There are a total of 3 vamp troops. All have been hurt so, yeah not completely hard targets.

Well in Cypher there's no real Margin of Success so a 9 is as good as a 16 in this case XD. IIRC, it's the 17,18,19 that give a little bit of a bonus, and 20 that gives a big one.

I know Gish can probably here her through the portal but in her defense she was hoping someone would close it .

That isn't unreasonable, though Gish is focusing on destroying the abominable individual rather than removing 4 of her possible feeding targets from more convenient range. There are more and easier targets nearby and if she feeds, she gets worse.

At least that is the suspected nature of vampires regardless of dimension.

Just realized the other end of the portal is in a very public state and not some sort of docking bay or something so oola and Evelyn were butt ass naked in the square.

I had thought it was in an office but that was wrong I guess. The good news for public decency, may perhaps be that the portal joined shadows, so not everyone has to see folks coming and going. Naked or close to it may be a common thing in these worlds.
