Ok those totals represent how many LUCK & Hero Dice you get. These can be used to absorb damage, add to a roll total. add damage to a roll,  or mod almost any roll. Yes. They can be traded with other players. These must be declared and rolled before a roll happens. To be valid for a roll total.

You get four D6 Luck dice

and two D6 Hero Dice

These rarely refill till a scene or milestone is completed and you only gain more after a milestone is met and then sparingly.

You do not notice anything and you do stop the crate, but it is heavy. Roll a D20 to see if you can halt if from slowly pushing you into Gish's portal uncontrollably. You may mod your roll if you wish.

I'm using Intellect with a level of Effort (I have 1 Edge so I pay 2 Intellect).

Are the vampires going to attack again after my failed attack, or should I play?

Also, is there anything near where they are taking cover that is potentially volatile/explosive? (Because of the wreckage). Think Red Barrel in old FPS games.

There is 1/4 cover if you go prone. The terrain of the lunar surface. (Outcropping and stone). Yes, They are "Holding their Attack" trying to gauge their combat options. Smart enemies game philosophy and all.

Nothing explosive per se but there is a 35% chance you could hit something that is. Roll 2D10 and roll under to find something to shoot at that will blow.
