Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game!
I know, I was just joking to encapsulate that moment when a positive energy cleric discovers that her teammate can't be healed by positive energy.

"Good" and "evil" becomes more than black and white.

BTW just because you can't heal someone with postive energy, doesn't mean they are evil :P

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game!
I think she should get the feat instead of Extra Channeling lol

Well I could get Inflict Wounds potions too.

Basically:
-Can't be turned with Turning
-Negative Energy from the cleric doesn't heal him
-She can't use Inflict Spells as it goes against her Diety.

https://rpg.stackexchange.com/...-when-trying-to-heal

So really it would be hard to 'heal' the Gunslinger.

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game!
What do you think would get the most PCs interested?

1. Pathfinder/Walking Dead
2. Pathfinder/Dragon Age Inquisition
3. Free Form/Dragon Age Inquistion
4. Pathfinder/Dinosaurs
5. Pathfinder/Skyrim

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game!
Well. Walkers would give our Rogue Oriana problems because of the immunity to critical hits and sneak attacks.

I think it would be funny to beat dinosaurs to death.

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game!
Dinosaurs could have different interesting options: you could have caveman characters, a Dinotopia type game with tamed dinosaurs, the players could go to an area dominated by dinosaurs.

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game!
While I personally lean towards Skyrim, the Dinosaur game would allow more freedom for you and your player's. As for your original question as to which would draw more people, I'd suggest looking up if some already exist and extrapolating data from that.

3 Walking Dead games exist, none are pathfinder. Popular but possible over saturation.

0 Dragon Age Inquisition games of any kind exist. Hard to say possibly do to the fact I left on the currently active tag.

0 Skyrim games exist. Same problem as D.A.I But I know that they existed at some point prior.

and Dinosaurs is too generic for most people to put it in their titles, so impossible to tell, but a generally safe bet that some level of interest exist.

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game!
The dino game could be a lot of fun. As for the walking dead/pathfinder I would use the 'rules' from the Walking Dead show and apply them to pathfinder. Could be good or could be bad. Hmm. Skyrim game could be interesting as well. Captured, no gear and must use your wits to survive for a little bit.

In reply to Dungeon Master (msg # 99):

Be careful with that captured idea, because if you don’t make it clear from the start that they’re not gonna have their gear and players will get upset.

So we got 5 members and 2 dogs.

If you want we can say the mayor gave you horses to get to the Asylum. But can't bring them in. And there's a stables.

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game!
So out of curiosity what is our intent on marching order now that we are inside? The real question that I'm concerned with is rear guard as most of us (as far as I can tell) are not tank~y. I'd like to be near the front, do to being primarily melee, but I'm not sure if with the group components that is the best place for me.

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game!
I wouldn't really worry about it. The asylum has many rooms, many locations, ect. So there is no 'front guard' so to speak. People will come up from behind, some from the front. Really, I would say you will be in the front most of the time if anything needs to be picked, sometimes you will need someone strong so the dwarf steps up, ect. When a fight breaks out, you can pick where you are if it makes sense. Like if you were picking a lock, your near the door. Perhaps the cleric was standing near you. Ok. Really, its going to be about investigating a asylum that may or may not have people inside of it, outsider of it, ect. Far as the group they think its abandoned. Also when it comes to combat, not everyone will be in the right spot at the right time.

BTW: Knocking on the door was interesting :)

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game!
Well. When we are single file the Marching order should be something like this.

<---Front-----Back---->
Ironson, Oriana, Maenwyn, Cullen and Zilyana

When we are Double file the Marching order should be something like this.
<---Front-----Back---->
Ironson, Maenwyn,Zilyana
Oriana,         ,Cullen

Maenwyn is the Wizard and definitionally squishy.

Ironson is the Designated tank so he should be in front.

Oriana is Melee DPS as a rogue, so she needs to be near the front too. And she needs to be in front to look for traps.

Zilyana, is a cleric and can probably hold her on in melee for a bit. So rearguard would be a good spot for her.

And Cullen is ranged dps.(I think, Not to familiar with the gunner class) So we probably want him close to the back but not rearguard.

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game!
Typically, yes. Your right.

But not when you get inside it may not work in that fashion.

Cullen is indeed a ranged DPS and working on him to be more of a sniper.

He's more of a combination of say a slight variation of a fighter, and some minor roguish skills.

I think Oriana doesn't want to get flattened. Basically.

<---Front-----Back---->
Ironson, Maenwyn ,Zilya
Oriana or Oriaba, Cullen

I wouldn't worry bout the order.

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game!
So I assume the horses given to the group are in the stables.

Cleric and barbarian are inside.
Gunslinger is checking things on the outside.
Rogue is outside.
Wizard is outside too?
