Example Combat: Lou vs Tang

Both fighters are built using the Basic Character Template.

The two fighter walk to the center of the round stone arena, it is plainly decorated, with simple pillars at the 4 cardnials. It was 20 paceses across, giving plenty of space for a sparring match. Their masters and other students watch from the stands, waiting for a show of what these two fighters have learned so far. They bow to their masters, then to their teacher, and finally to each other. They cross each other, arms barely touching. The fight already begun.

A moment passes before either moves, Lou begins by sliding in closer and delivering a straight punch to Tang's chest. Tang retreats back to avoid the blow and follows it with a snap kick to Lou's stomach but Lou deflects the kick with the same hand and slips in, delivering another straight punch to Tang's chest that lands cleanly. Tang takes a step back and whences at the strike, concentrating to suppress the pain.

Focusing his aura, Lou channels it into his leg, down to his foot where it becomes a spear. Lou twists, driving a kick into Tang's leg. Still attempting to recover from the blow just a breath ago, Tang failed to deflect the kick. It lands with a nasty sound as it impales into his leg, blood spurts and Tang falls to the ground.

Seeing the chance, Lou steps in and attempts to end the fight, trying to stomp on him without care. Unable to avoid the stomp, he grunts as it impacts. Using that moment he flares his aura up consuming his Chi, imbuing his fists with it and slams them onto the ground causing a shockwave. Lou takes the impact full force of the blast and is forced back. He also begins to use his Chi to recover his aura and breath.

Tang Slowly rises while Lou steps back a little more. They begin to circle each other, slowly measuring, catching their breath, waiting, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Lou moves first, focusing his aura once more, this time into his arm, down to his hand, then to his finger, all the way to his finger tip. He steps forward with a thrust as if holding a sword, his arua shoots out like a point. Tang sees it coming, he focuses his aura and twists, deflecting the beam.

In turn Tang bursts his aura up, then slams it down through his legs. It bursts forward and explodes under Lou. He attempts to dive out of the way and only suffered a minor wound, as he attempts to get back up, though, Tang bursts forth again with another explosion, causing Lou to once more dive.

They both breath heavily, Tang's leg still bleeds, chest wounded. Lou bruised up and sweating. They begin their dance again, measuring, aiming, recovering. Slowly getting closer.

Within reach, Tang attempts an axe kick, but Lou manages to avoid it completely and follow's it up with a low kick to Tang's wounded leg. Tang deflects the kick and shoots back another kick, aimed low at Lou's leg this time.

Lou avoids it by sliping back, and with a burst of his Chi again, his leg turns into a spear and feints high as if aimed at Tang's head but then drops to be thrusted into his chest. Tang manages to see the feint and steps back, parrying the kick. With the perfect moment, Tang aims high and delivers a kick to Lou's head as accurately as he could, Lou could see the kick coming, but could do nothing about it.

Lou takes the blow full force, dropping prone and unconscious. As the victor Tang shouts in triumph, bloddy leg and bruised body, in sweat and dirt.

Tang attempts to avoid the kick by dodging it with a step back but fails to avoid it. He is struck hard in the leg, with Lou's chi impaling into it, causing bleeding. The blow was hard enough to knock Tang down to the ground.

Suffers a Reeling wound to the leg which results in moderate pain, 2 to DX, IQ, and skills, and loses 9 AP from injury.

HT roll for Knockdown and stun, fail by 3.

Tang recovers from being stunned from the blow, but is still prone.

With a Grunt, Tang burns some of his Chi, his aura flares and he slams his fists into the ground causing a shockwave that catches Lou off guard and injury him.



Spends 2 Chi points to recover AP to full.
