Re: OOC
The Fez is still at the Oriental Club, right? Or did we take it with us?

I'm presuming, seeing as we're meant to be conveying the Fez to Constantinople, that we would have taken it with us...

Re: OOC
That's what I thought.  :)

Is there something like a safe on the train? Or should one of us keep it with us?

Re: OOC
You took it with you, in an ugly hat box no less. There probably is somewhere secure on the train but it's up to you if you want to let the thing out of your sight...

Re: OOC
I would personally suggest either George Banks or Captain Barrington, as I get a sense at least that these two men are the more likely to be able to defend themselves if the need arises...

I would agree. Perhaps we could do some sort of decoy? Hide the fez somewhere and just have an empty hat box (or one of Amelia's hats in there)?

Re: OOC
We could squash it flat-ish and put it in a suitcase while still carrying the hat box openly. Saroch is willing to keep the deformed hat in his suitcase.

Or better, perhaps, Alan could put it, rolled up, in his valise.

Re: OOC
George is willing to keep an eye on the vile thing, if necessary.  It wouldn’t be something he’d relish doing, though.

Amelia is ready to retire for the evening. She will keep a loaded pistol close though - and lock her door.

Re: OOC
So, Alan has the rolled up fez stashed in his valise? And Saroch has the hatbox, containing his hat, in his compartment?

Re: OOC
I'll be leaving town Wednesday 5/16 to go up to Connecticut to see my daughter awarded her PhD from Yale University. I'll be back on 5/23. I don't expect to be able to post during that time.

Re: OOC
I'm heading out next Tuesday 6/12 for Columbus Ohio and the Origins Game Fair. Not likely to have time to look in while I'm spending all my time running and playing games.

Should be back in touch Monday 6/18 or so.

Did Amelia get a chance to study the strange writing on the fez?

Re: OOC
Sorry, missed that in your original post.

You were close enough to see some of the writing but you would need more time up close to really study it. Whatever was written certainly wasn't in the latin alphabet - they were characters more akin to hieroglyphics.

Well met, everyone!  From the state of things, it doesn't appear I'll be boarding immediately, but I look forward to seeing this thing through to the end with the rest of you..!
