Ja-Hon will...

Don his Suit of Heavy Environmental Body Armor and arm himself with his PH 100 Heavy Phase Beamer

Finds and tells Sarge (before jumping down) .

Will then utilize the following psionic powers: Enhance Reflexes (10 ISP, 22 minutes), Sixth Sense (2 ISP, until danger passes/happens), Sense Magic (3 ISP, 22 minutes),

Will then utilize the following phase powers: Phase Field (25 ISP, 11 minutes), Spacial Distortion: Self (15 ISP, 11 minutes)

Will use Phase Teleportation (Promethean RCC) to attempt to teleport down to the bridge, and support Sarge.

Searching for the Beholder

Roland will cast Sustain on himself and Shelly, as well as Sarge

12ppe x 2 for Sustain. Duration 10 days.

Fly as the Eagle, Myself and Shelly
50ppe, duration 200 minutes (3 hours), +1 parry and +2 dodge in flight. 50mph speed.

+2 parry and dodge, +10% to any skill that relies on basic senses.
Improves natural senses +50% and enables psychic to filter all this sensory input to concentrate on one or two specific things. Will notice every detail down to slightest motion, sound, scent and shadow.


Mage senses up

Roland flies along after Sarge and will attempt to isolate the radio signals to see if they're all automated, random or if there is any signal buried in them.  He's also looking for signs of battle, things that don't appear "normal"..

Chardalyn Region 11, Level -01

See Ward: No Ward Detected.
Shadow Sense: Only the 3 shadow beast are in the area.
Magical Senses: The only active spells are what the party cast.
Decryption takes


Sarge drops down to a lower level to begin the search for the Beholder, his crew touching down moment later. The Shadow Beast merge into the shadows and dissapear, only detectable by Shadow Sense.

Roland drifts down to the lower level with Shelly at his side. The Beautiful Ghost, following the bearer of her fetter, touches down in the real world near the group, her form taking a corporeal presence away from the other entities.

Ja'hon steps through reality and joins the team.

Level -01, the radio broadcast
Taking some time to track down one of the closer radio signals they find it emanating from an old corporate security tower that has be knocked down and repaired multiple times since the fall of the dig site. A T.W. self charging power source is attached to the simplistic transmission terminal repeating the same basic message about the hazards of the location over and over again. With the T.W. devices capabilities as long as it doesn't suffer a direct strike by the massive maelstroms that tend to erupt in the Endless Wastes it should last forever.

The crew finds nothing of note at the Corporate Security tower and move on searching for the Beholder.

"This place seems like a security building..hmm lets look around for an Armory.. many hands light work. this will be Zero point. the place we meet back up in if we get separated, ported, whatever.. or radios can hear the broadcast and our senses can pick up the  signature .. so as a group we look around .. see if we can find a building schematic whatever .. floor by floor, whatever .. now.. we are not going to give this op more than 3 days.. we all have Sustain on, but we will still need rest..so lets take a look see, then move on to find Target Prime.. defenses first on contact..

Skill Use

Intelligence:
Information found in the security towers remaining files reveal mining practices and corporate oversight similar to Austin Nevada circa 1863. No need to go into specifics this is just the flavor text of what is found for the records found. Important records were kept on paper that was treated with a variation of the ironwood spell turning the papers into 1 M.D.C. neigh indestructible perma copies, a weird development for a super magic society.
  • Building layouts would be familiar to those born in the 20th Rifts Earth Century.
  • The buildings are comprised of a very early hi capacity material (M.D.C. but not double digits).
  • Language & Literacy: Faerun is similar to Trade Six. A character with Trade Six, after a week of study (10 hour days), would gain for free Faerun at the base level. A character with Faerun can do the same to gain Trade Six.
  • The territory that dig site falls belongs to is named Imaskar. The newspapers left behind in the ruins talk about how the Council of Seven were attempting to deal with the blight brought over from D-Bee interlopers.
  • The papers talk of the Council of Seven debating breaking the ban of Necromancy to compete with the production capabilities of the neighboring country of Thay. So far a majority couldn't be made so the ban remains(The split was: no necromancy, necromancy on only illegals, necromancy on all bodies). The arguments posted would be typical for those pushing their agenda.
  • House Ilphemon, one of the seven and most that deal with military and diplomatic encroachments by Thay, show off the specs of their new staves and wands.
  • The dig site security tower is set up similar to modern cop precincts, but with racks for staves and wands all areas searched by the team were empty.
  • There are no samples of the currency but there are picture representations showing the fantasy trope standard of copper silver and gold for those needing help paying bail.


So far the only things that stands out on sensor scans are is the presence of the non lethal gas.

Chardalyn Region 11, Level -01 completed

The team searches for 2 more hours in an attempt to find sign of the Beholder but with no avail, only ruined buildings and eroding infrastructure remain. Gathering themselves they make their preparations to drop down to level -02.


The following rolls will be required for travel hunt the Beholder:

  • Tracking @ - 10%
  • Perception (DC 20)
  • Spelunking @ - 10%

Roland is looking for an Armory or hangar/vehicle bay as we go.

He will call forth one phantom(lvl 5 air elemental spell), to see if it will survive at the moment to help look for hidden and secret doors.  If it starts to get attacked immediately as has happened in the past I disniss itso it doesn't die here
If the elemental survives and isn't tore up by the other entities in the area.
22:06, Today: Roland rolled 14 using 1d100 with rolls of 14.  Find Secret compartments/doors (89).

He will also ask the Ghost to look around for hidden and secret doors that we may miss as she can go places we cannot easily get to.

Due to the failure of the Perception Checks the crew did not see all of the entity clusters.

  • There are thousands of Micro Rifts opening and closing within sensory range.
  • There are hundreds of invisible entities within sensory range, they are currently neutral.
  • There are dozens of Temporal / Dimensional spells activating within sensing range but no clear reason why or by whom.
  • Roland is unconscious being carried by Shelly.
  • The Beautiful Ghost applauds the groups pantomime of the battle for Shinra Station, the reference means nothing to the group because she is a ghost speaking nonsensical fragments from her previous life.
  • Aramis is carrying Porthos' dead body.
  • Athos and Melissa fall in near Sarge.
  • The Shadeling floats near Sarge.
  • All Summoned Shadow Beast have been killed.
  • The Gunso is carrying the Duergar's dead body.
  • Ja Hon is in 4D Space:
    1. The Avatar will be arriving in 3 minutes
    2. 10 Were Badger Duergar Rune Priest will be arriving with her (same as the guy you just fought)
    3. 10 Helmed Horrors will be arriving with her (Same as Earthwake Iron Juggernaught)
    4. If the party wasn't 4D agents they would have + 1000 MDC per M.A. point to their main body, but they are immune to those changes.
    5. If the party wasn't 4D agents they would have + 100 PPE per M.A. point, but they are immune to those changes.
    6. If the party wasn't 4D agents they would have the basic divine powers out of the dragons and gods booy, but they are immune to those changes.



The crew wraps up battle with the Duergar and its slave entity army within the span of a minute, it is time to move on towards their next objective.

Ja-Hon will spend 1 minute investigating as much as he can with his Psychic Omni-Sight and his Promethean senses (Sense Dimensional Anomalies).

For the first 30 seconds, he will use "See Aura". If he sees anything that stands out 4D he will attempt to identify it with Galactic Lore.

Carrying Roland, Shelly helps navigate the warrens of the ancient City. Ley line senses up, she will also cast Globe of Daylight and bring it along with her as she cannot see in the dark.  She'll push it 30ft ahead of the group so we can see where we're going.  If the group protests, then she'll use a flashlight.

On the Duergar:
  • The Robes are a Greatest Rune Item
  • The Wand is a Greater Rune Item
  • The Staff is a Greatest Rune Item
  • The Tome is a Greater Rune Item
  • The Boots are a Rune Item
  • The Left Ring is a Rune Item
  • The Right Ring is a Rune Item
  • The Eyes are a Rune Item
  • The Necklace is a Rune Item
  • The Papal Tiara is a Rune Item

The Rune Items on the Duergar are Diabolic Evil and will only work for someone that survives the rune item bonding process. When touched the character hears the eternal tortured screams of the spirit bound inside of the item. This torture process to the spirit inside was done on purpose. That is all that will be found out above the items without using them.

The Flickering of the Rifts that are forming near the crew are in line with the will of Ao and the Rules set up by the dimensional shard they all reside in. For the purposes of the 4D games meta ruleset a dimensional shard is a unique 4D construct set up to do something and contains an entire megaversal widget all to itself. Finding and entering these Shards are extremely hard for normies.


Shelly guides the team out of the city pit and back to the ship with a combination of skill and generally pleasing countenance, when it became problematic with the closeness of the Entities the Beautiful Ghost broke free of her succor and helped out. Outside of the cityscape it is a straight shot to the ship with a general feeling of Divine Impending Doom hounding the teams trail. Stepping aboard the ship the team feels the impending divine doom dissipate. With that presence gone the team is reinvigorated by a short rest and Roland has recovered to 1 M.D.C. regeneration of super power juice and body damage begins as normal from this point onward.

Note: During the 'Escape' to the ship the crew was under the Shard Rules related to overlapping domains needing to be resolved so the transition of time became meaningless.

The team accounts for the dead and the wounded then decides to what to do next.

Ja-Hon, attempts to contemplate the nature of the 4D shard constructs to see if he can figure out how they work, and how we would 'turn them off' to try and reduce the impact of the 4D war on the people it is impacting (using mechanical engineering as a 4D being).
