Re: OOC Thread

Larmiun Dol'Uten:
Do spellcasters get only the best spell slots from one of the gestalt sides?

I'm concerned about balance.

Yes a Druid/Wizard the only one I see off hand, but I've not finished looking up the classes, would have different spell slots and different spells for each class. However one class has divine spells and the other has arcane spells. (page 73 of Unearthed Arcana makes that clear).

I suppose if I modified my ruling above to be in the same spirit then you would need to keep separate power points and separate power lists for each psionic class. Earlier I was going by page 72 and Power Points/Day and Known Powers would be the same ability by two different classes which means you'd accrue them at the rate of the better class not both. If we take psionics to be a type of spellcasting then we could use the page 73 rule and see how it goes.

Would that be satisfactory?

Re: OOC Thread

Yes, the way that I usually play in gestalt is this:

Three pools of Power points:

1st pool: One side of the gestalt
2nd pool: The other side of the gestalt
These pools can't see each other.

3rd pool: Racial power points, feats taken by character advancement (Like Psionic Talent at 1st level, 3rd level, so on)
This pool can be used with the other pools.

Is that Ok? If I take Psionic Talent with the feats provided by Psychic Warrior, those power points go to that side of the gestalt only.

Re: OOC Thread

Great.
Another question.

In Dragon Magazine 315 there are some Greyhawk feats. Can we use them?

Hello, I am glad to be able to play with all of you!
I decided to play a healer for the first time in my life. And I am going to do it with the strangest class to do it: a psion.

Let's see if I can do it right!

I'll review them when I get off work in the morning. Right now I'm at work. Most likely they will be okay since it's a WotC published source.

There is also a Healer class in the Miniatures book you might want to look at. It is a powerful healer.

Re: OOC Thread

See, I had assumed (wrongly, apparently) that he was a Healer/Psion, not a healing Psion. That would be an interesting combo to say the least...

I think they were thinking of doing Psion-Lurk but if healing is what they want Psion-Healer might be a good option :)

Re: OOC Thread

The idea is to see how much I can heal with a psion. Get Magic mantle later on and strike better while healing you.

I've made a little prelude thread for while we work on characters. It might be a place to introduce yourself and get to know the others a little before you travel south and east :).

Re: OOC Thread

I know there was a Prestige class for psionic classes that focused on healing, Septic or something.  It was interesting, but not really viable for low level healing.  Complete Psionic with the Ardant helped a little.  Anyways, I think I will focus on not getting hit, especially with our low level and armor situation.
