Re: Portrait Submission

I wasn't able to find the portrait I submitted for June but maybe not everything is done yet.

Re: Portrait Submission

I see the only one I submitted, a Netflix Iron Fist, made the cut. Now the difficult task of fixing this trainwreck of a character can begin.

Much appreciated!

Re: Portrait Submission

For some of those missing, there is another round of portraits which have yet to be uploaded, so it's possible the portraits sought are in there. I will let everyone know once those have been uploaded as well, and you can look again.

tib, I don't see your image yet, but I'll look in the newer stuff as well and see if it's there.

Re: Portrait Submission

Ah, thank you! It is very good to be updated, and with potential progress at that.

The PC's portrait was sent in in June, so that could very well be it by the sound of things.

Re: Portrait Submission

I was curious when the next portrait update is. I sent one in yesterday, and not sure if I missed the deadline or not.

Huge thanks to all that the portrait team does! You guys rock.

Re: Portrait Submission

The next update will be sent in a couple days from now, though it may be a while until it actually gets processed.  I will post an update here once we have the latest batch up.

Is it too late to submit a portrait for this round?

Re: Portrait Submission

Not at all! You've got until the 14th of each month to submit for the next round, so if you send us your submission now, it will still be part of the October-November batch.

Now, keep in mind that with the way things currently are, it may not immediately appear in the gallery in November, but hopefully it will. Just make sure to follow the submission rules and we'll get it in this round!

Re: Portrait Submission

Great! Sent in a few portraits of female dwarves with duergar/dark iron color schemes, which I think is a type currently underrepresented! Hope they make the cut!

They are only accepting 1 portrait per month in a submission unless things have changed.

Well, will they just pick whichever they prefer, or should I resubmit as a single picture? Both are fine by me, I just want to know the protocol.

Re: Portrait Submission

In reply to Spider Ham (msg # 466):

We can do either. If you want to resubmit as just one, then that way you'll know which one got in for sure, without having to look, and can just go down the list each round.

In reply to donsr (msg # 463):

No, we don't do gallery purges; we just occasionally remove duplicates if they're found. I'm not aware of any having been removed recently, but there have been occasional glitches or problems in the past with some portraits becoming temporarily unavailable or disappearing until they're fixed. Which one is it?

Re: Portrait Submission

Siiince this thread is looking active - may I quickly ask what the coming update will cover?

That is, September's update covered submissions from late 2020 (I think)-May 2021, which seemed to be one batch; will the update cover anything sent in in, say, August? October? Yesterday? Thanks.

Re: Portrait Submission

In reply to tibiotarsus (msg # 468):

That's more of a Warrax question, but: I know we've located a couple submissions that were apparently missed by the script or similar from prior updates, and those will be included in the next upload. I'm not sure about exact dates, but the general idea is to upload everything that hasn't yet been uploaded since the previous gallery update, whatever the cutoff for that is.

So ideally, it will be all submissions from then through the date of the upload, if that's feasible. It depends on when and how much jase is available, and he's perennially overworked as it is. (Not saying throwing a few bucks in the Ko-fi or Patreon will make it happen faster, but I'm sure he wouldn't hate it if you did.)

In reply to donsr (msg # 469):

I'm afraid I'm not familiar enough with the movie to know exactly who you're talking about. :( If you can provide a portrait ID #, we can take a look and try to figure it out, though. If you've been using it for a long time, you may still have a character set with that portrait somewhere; if so, even if the portrait is blank, I think it should still give you the gallery ID underneath the frame. Check "Character Details" and look where the portrait is supposed to be for a code like "abc123." That tells us which one it is.

Re: Portrait Submission

yeah? thanks...i use i would  have written it down..but i went in the protarits, and  i  clicked on one  just to try it out( really stupid anime one)

then i settled on  the one i have  now, which?  isn't bad  for  my 'Admiral'..its more the loss of  a Pic  i had   all those years, that its become part of the  character...i can't  fine the one  i used, and i checked any kind of male  in my categories that  there  is

Re: Portrait Submission

In reply to donsr (msg # 471):

We can glance around and see if any portraits are glitched out or have been somehow mistakenly replaced, but the latter is unlikely. If you don't know for sure which one it was, we're limited in what we can do, but we can try and keep an eye out in case it turns up.

Again, though, no portraits have been simply deleted or gone missing as far as I know, which means if you do come up with that ID #, it might be really useful in telling us if something's wrong that we don't know about.
